Dune
You begin to see the method to Alan Moore's madness about adaptations of dense, multi-layered works - they tend to skim the very top. Look, sandworms! And weird Navigators! Fat guys levitating! Blue eyes! Both adaptations of Dune have missed Herbert's 'melange-as-oil' metaphor, introspections on ecology, and

It's unfilmable as a movie, period.

Same here. Funny, in the pre-Internet age there was a lot of time wasted doing things like that… yet it was pretty fun trying to decipher the lyrics.

It's difficult to watch him without thinking about "Overdrawn at the Memory Bank", though. Or that his last film was "Street Fighter".

What, no one's making a "Hot Topic" reference?

Yeah, I'm really not complaining about seeing more Helena Bonham Carter.

Explain Eragon? His literary agent was awesome.

Hatred actually wants to change, and has gone out of his way to try to bond - in the fraternal sense - with Hank.
And the whole "Captain Sunshine" reference missed the entire point, which was that he wasn't a pedophile, he was just oblivious how his obsession with having a young sidekick looked (or would react in an

End of Temp Boy
I really have to wonder if the death of Walt - offscreen - in a fantasy episode - was another writer "fuck you".

Just watch the "Space" episode to enjoy Vicki in 'period' revealing clothing.

Star Wars is about showcasing Harvey Korman as a multi-faceted actor.

*sigh* Caps and all, and referencing the favorite strawman of the mystery-haters, the HURLEY BIRD.
Sorry, but we learned fuck-all at the end. What's the Island? What's the mystery force? What's the deal with the Egyptians? What was DHARMA even there to begin with? What was deal with the kids? What about psychic

Sorry, but shennanigans were called at the end already - the producers swore up and down that the mysteries mattered. That's great that some people liked the character-driven stuff, but it's frankly bullshit to be claiming that a significant portion weren't just as drawn by the mysteries of LOST.

Neuromancer
Probably the closest we're ever going to get to seeing it adapted (in the loosest sense of the word).
No, "The Matrix" doesn't count in any way, shape or form.

I liked most of Lost. Didn't like the finale, life went on.

Agreed, the line just sums up Jimmy's philosophy.

I enjoy Walt as a symbol of the writers' resentment over the network's intereference - he doesn't do much, he's killed offscreen in a fantasy episode and never referred to again.

Disappointing
Writing books about vampires and then abandoning a religion that involves blood-drinking? Tsk, tsk, Anne…

Could've sworn that guy was Jewish…

Yeah, obvious troll is obvious. Thanks for playing, Coldstream.
