Oddly enough 9 year old me received for my birthday the Elfman album on cassette by accident and was pissed it wasn't the Prince one, probably because it didn't have "Batdance". Decades later and the Prince CD is long gone, but I've still held on to that Elfman cassette. Despite how dated the 80s/90s Batman movies

Would Spawn/Batman count? I think it sold well but it was absolutely terrible. The Miller/Mcfarlane one put out by Image did give us a sneak preview of "The goddamned Batman" though!

Seriously, if there was ever a time for Stilt-Man it's this. Unless they're going to make that awesome superhero/lawyer Daredevil show that I've imagined once the rights go back to Marvel!

The Assassination of Jesse James also has my favorite of the Nick Cave and Warren Ellis scores, which adds so much to the beautiful cinematography of that film.

It's funny because when I saw the original Burton Batman at 9 years old I was actually shocked at how dark and violent it was. This was after years of watching the 60's show reruns every afternoon. The monthly comics were dark at the time but I didn't get around to those and the Moore and Miller stuff until after

I have seen way too many Tiny Puppet Monster Movies. All of these and many of their sequels, as well as many of the Puppet Master and Demonic Toys films. That's a lot of hours…

Oh god the fetus scene! That scene (and Bo Derek's leg being chewed off) are about the only things I remember from watching Orca  on TV as a kid in the 80's. Such a bizarre and uneven movie.

For fun (and surprisingly catchy) pop punk with ridiculous lyrics, you can't go wrong with Banned in Boston, his stuff with The Jabbers. It's completely different from the raspy later stuff with The Murder Junkies and even has Wayne Kramer from the MC5 popping up in a few songs on solos! Pretty sure he was dealing

While some of the individual stories in it are great, it's definitely not something that should be read from start to finish chronologically. Skip around after the creation story to the stuff about elves slaughtering legions of Balrogs. It's like a Greek mythology book where some of the tales are more exciting than

Shit like that has also happened to me in NYC bars. I've been at places with a bowl of pretzels or something on the table and hot girls just walking by and grabbing one without asking or acknowledging my friends and I sitting there. It's so rude and annoying.
