Shameless podcast plug, sorry just helping some friends out: If you like amusing conversations about Star Trek: The Next Generation then check out my friends' podcast Star Trek: The X Generation. They just wrapped up their coverage of season 1 recently: http://stxgeneration.tumblr…

The Alien vs. Aliens episode of Canon could have been better if there was another guest on the Aliens side, like Matt Gourley. Amy was getting bullied on pretty bad and it seemed like she couldn't get her points across.

I listen to The Canon and I Was There Too pretty much every week, although if The Canon episode is about something I haven't seen then I skip it.

I miss that brief period of time where Almost Human was my "Lazy Monday" TV. There are so many shows I'm behind on yet I'm caught up on Gotham because I'm usually doing nothing and sitting in front of the TV on Monday night, and it's just on in the background.

I remember when Funcoland opened up in NJ near me in the early 90s and there was this long sad bread line of kids outside of the store cradling boxes with NES consoles or lugging shopping bags full of their NES games just so they could trade in for SNES and Genesis stuff. I was one of these kids, and at the time I was

Seeing David Boswell up there reminded me that it's been a while since Bob Burden has put anything out. I think the last thing my avatar the Flaming Carrot appeared in was an Image miniseries about 10 years ago.

I too thought I heard Dr. Strange, and why not? Strange was a surgeon in the comics, Ron Glass would be an awesome casting choice to play him, and this show really needs some more easter eggs just to imply a larger world outside of the damn plane that they're always on. It also just makes things more fun. It's getting

It was incredible just to listen to them describe how clueless the movie is. Like how the main character is a draft dodger who's anti everything supposedly but brings up his support for the troops multiple times.

The trailer of the sequence where the Human Torch is chasing the Silver Surfer through Manhattan was the only good scene in Fantastic Four 2. I agree that Jones and Fishburn were a good combo to play him though.

Whenever I see Howie Long on TV I always try to imagine what it would have been like if Wizard got their wish and he was cast as Captain America.

Definitely Carla did not like Diane. Carla and Rebecca have a friendly and antagonistic relationship, with Carla and Diane it's just antagonistic. Cliff and Carla have their moments of being friends for sure though.

This was such a strong season, up there with season 1. It kinda stinks that a couple of characters didn't pop in (Clegg, Cutler, Kenny's parents), but otherwise I'm really glad that we were treated to another season of Eastbound & Down!

Just to add to the Top Ten love here is one of my favorite "little moments" in the book, when a mice extermination escalates into an all out intergalactic war between super mice and super cats. Ultimately Galactapuss shows up: http://calabozo.files.wordp…

That's so frustrating that DC never let them finish Season 2, yet another thing I'm pissed at DC about. It's a shame because it's only an additional 6 issues to add to the Absolute Edition and would complete the collection.

Deadpool is kind of like Spider-Man, Wolverine, Snake-Eyes, and The Joker combined, so the kids love him. It's a bizarre development how popular he currently is, considering what a blank slate Deathstroke knock off he was back in the early 90s. Interestingly he seems to be one of the few (if only) ubiquitous Marvel

After reading this and all of these comments I've got a jonesin' for some RFTC. I really need to dig out my CD copies of Scream Dracula Scream, Group Sounds, and Circa Now asap!

After seeing Motorhead I couldn't hear for the entire next day.

I second Lack of Name's recommendation for the book that The 13th Warrior was based on, Eaters of the Dead by Michael Crichton. Lots of crazy Viking vs. Neanderthal action!

While I wasn't completely on board with Lyre of Orpheus/ Abbatoir Blues initially, it grew on me after a few listens. Nocturama was silly though, and that had Blixa on it too! I just bought this one today, so I'm hoping it's at least better than Nocturama.

The return of The John Larroquette show!
