That four pack is great, I remember being pumped for Black Samson after seeing a trailer on a compilation of Blaxploitation trailers, but yeah it's pretty bad. Especially compared to the other three movies, which more than make up for it. I think they basically conceived of his image (ornate fighting staff, lion) and

I have a similar VHS edition taped from HBO. Mine is missing the first four minutes of Empire but makes up for it by having about 2 hours of Christmas cartoons (with mid-80s toy commercials) after it. Best Christmas tape ever!

The Steel Wheelchairs Tour

Oi Oi Deacon!

Unlike syndicated Curb Your Enthusiasm and Larry Sanders (where there's no cursing), sanitized Dream On seemed like a different show (don't know if it's still shown in reruns anywhere). It's been many years since I watched the original unedited episodes, but from what I remember the random wacky sex scenes were what

These writeups have been awesome, especially since I finally watched this series from start to finish on Netflix this year and recently finished a few weeks ago. Glad to hear that it will be coming back, hopefully sooner than later. Lots of great episodes to come…

Didn't he legally change his name to Warrior?

If they reissued it and CG'ed a skull on Lundgren's shirt, that movie would be the first great Marvel adaptation. It helps that it came out in the late '80s when movies with featuring characters like The Punisher were all over the place, which is why the movies from the last decade seem a little off. That's also the

There's also Phil's giant laptop thing in the first couple of seasons. It's usually present on the writers' room table.

Deadpool?
Since this franchise looks doomed maybe that Ryan Reynolds Deadpool movie will be back on track. If that happens hopefully it has little to do with what they set up in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, which was the last abysmal comic book movie I dragged myself to see in the theater.

I would have been fine with more Tom and Andy time on the fourth floor, a completely bizarre, frightening, and hilarious place. It reminded me of my first couple of temp jobs.

Argh! DS9 was the one I was most excited about revisiting, since I have TOS on DVD and TNG is pretty easy to find in reruns on any given night.

Good call on The Simpsons reference! It's funny, because I was getting some "Itchy and Scratchy and Marge" deja vu while watching Parks & Recreation tonight (the whole art vs. sleaze debate).

JEFFERSON'S!

I'll give Reiser Aliens, but that episode of Party Down with Guttenberg is pretty amazing!

Summer of Sam isn't horrible, I just can't stand Adrien Brody's character. Not one person could think of a band other than The Who for a CBGB's punk guy to listen to? Sure the character is supposed to be kind of a moron, but not even The Ramones or something?

Yeah, the entire office going to Pam and Jim's baby baptism was pretty ridiculous.

The original Replacements drummer Chris Mars has been "retired" from music for years to focus on his art, so the closest thing to a Replacements reunion would probably feature 1/2 the original group and a bunch of ringers.

Gimme an 'A' Buckaroo Banzai!

What has Chris Cunningham been up to lately? His style would be really interesting in the right context, too bad that his Neuromancer never happened.
