Oh yeah - I'd almost completely forgotten about the Tarot card storyline! Oh wait…it's because no one cares about it. At least they're moving forward on other ends, and - like you - they're actually revealing things (our take: http://wp.me/p1VQBq-Fw). I do wish that they would just let the twins meet, though this near

Although the "curse" did seem like an overly elaborate scheme for such a petty reason (they may run away together and that would leave the circle unprotected? Weak!) this felt like a much more solidly entertaining episode than the last few weeks (our take here: http://wp.me/p1VQBq-D8).

Agree that without Shane and Dale, Rick has now had to assume all of the leadership roles, which is apt to make him more "calcified" (to borrow your speculative term about Carol…who should have died). Our full take here: http://wp.me/p1VQBq-BE

No way did they introduce hot gym teacher as Kathyrn's lover only to kill her off. For sure, like Psychic Anal Beads and Organised.Chaos says, that girl is still alive somewhere/somehow.

Although still with cutesy Disney touches to ensure it meets "family hour" standards

Agreed, but it was also very Shrek-esque

Definitely an episode that's helping to set things up. Most surprising is that Emma makes some rational decisions this week: instead of flying off the handle and doing something stupid, she's being more strategic in her approach to dealing with Regina. It's like our baby girl's all grown up! (Our full take here: http:/

Ugh - it definitely feels as though the show is losing momentum (our take here: http://wp.me/p1VQBq-AV). I've been disappointed by their use of Blackwell since he showed up and tonight didn't do much to get me excited. Diana spending time with an Aussie: yawn. Faye spending time with a boyfriend and Coma Girl:

Yeah, besides Emmet, Salsa is clearly the only other character to root for. Way to leave the dog behind with the zombies, you cruel bitches!

The cute boy paid by mom to beat the crap out of low-class girl was far too obvious - gee buddy, where'd you get those bloodied knuckles? Ugh. Ditch this entire storyline. (Our take here: http://wp.me/p1VQBq-yq)

This was definitely an exasperating episode. I want to like the show, and everytime we're in rehearsal, I mostly do, but as soon as they try to make us care about the 2-dimensional cut-outs they're calling characters it just falls apart. (Our take here: http://wp.me/p1VQBq-A7)

I actually think they totally abused Lana Parilla in this episode. Is she solely David's emergency contact so that she can blaze into a room, bitch Emma out and slink back into the shadows? What was she even arguing for: locking him up or ensuring his rights were being honored? Blech

Sidenote: I got scared when this review was up late because I thought I'd been left alone to watch and recap the show. Please don't leave me alone in this wasteland!

Quick clarification: Henry doesn't mack on Bridget in the hotel thinking it's Siobhan - he's doing it to keep Bridget away from Tyler.

Derek is rapidly becoming the mouthpiece for the show. His comments are gospel for viewers!

We also saw Jessica Walters' dual roles in Annie Potts' character! In our recap (http://wp.me/p1VQBq-wH) the biggest impediment is definitely the writing: it's a bit lazy, it's not overly funny and it doesn't yet seem to know what to do with these funny and talented actresses.

Definitely a surprising twist that I should have seen coming, but didn't (I guess I didn't believe that the show was putting its characters in danger). Overall I think it works better when you think about it rather than watching it (our take here: http://wp.me/p1VQBq-xE).

The show is clearly trying to be all things for all people (in our recap it seems as though it wants to appeal to children AND grandparents: http://wp.me/p1VQBq-xA), but as you suggest the dark themes and morality issues - cutting out hearts, adultery, etc - put it firmly into these mature arenas. The bigger problem

Agree that the slowly circling conflict isn't quite as compelling as it would be if the show wasn't just waiting out a big finale bloodbath (I echo similar sentiments in our recap: http://wp.me/p1VQBq-xe). I think my main frustration is that I want Limehouse in on the action instead of just hanging out with pig
