I actually liked this episode.
I thought it was the best one of the season so far, and I even laughed out loud at it more than once (in a good way).

The original and best
I recently acquired all 15 seasons of the BBC Top Gear, and I'm watching them from the beginning. And they're wonderful. It took until the third episode (in 2002) for the show to feel like it knew what it was doing, and as soon as James May joined the show (start of series 2 in 2003) it's

Jem IS adventure. Be careful out there.

JJ Gambling
JJ's powers would only be useful in a handful of gambling environments, and horse racing isn't really one of them.

Rock and Rule is terrific, but watching the Canadian version is mandatory.
MGM re-recorded Omar's voice as they disliked both the original actor and the lines, so the American version features both a lesser performance and shoddy writing.

FlashForward was based on stronger source material. Robert Sawyer's book is terrific, but frankly not at all suited to serialisation.

I need you to cover this show.
It's become so bad that I can't actually bring myself to watch whole episodes, so I need your recaps to fill me in on what the hell happened.

Transporter 2 is one of the very worst movies I have ever seen.

*Dons nerd hat*
It's "wookiee". You dropped an E.

Floating Timeline or not
Homer Simpson's favourite band will always remain:

Remember Me
When I saw Remember Me during its original run (I was about 14), I certainly didn't catch on that the good Doctor was trapped in the warp bubble.

The Mist
"Whether or not the characters in that moment would've believed they were trapped, we no longer believe they were, and it becomes nearly impossible to empathize with their choice."

Amy Acker and Julie Benz together?
JOSS-GASM!

The editing together of the football with the takedown of Myers
was even better than you say. Since the show had already established that Jim was in danger of being apprehended in the park (he wasn't really, but within the show's logic he was), that JJ's football kept him out of the park during the sting meant than

I enjoy auto-racing (primarily F1), but I hate NASCAR.
And it's not because of the actual sport. I hate NASCAR because they're name is both redundant and innaccurate (National Association of Stock Car Auto Racing - those aren't stock cars), and because they refuse to make their technical regulations publicly

Thank you, Joshua
Thanks for letting me know that I shouldn't bother watching this episode, or any future episode of this series.

The Curse of the Bambino wasn't broken until they won the World Series.
They'd made it to the World Series since the Babe Ruth trade (1986 - Bill Buckner); they just hadn't won.

They don't do scenes between House and the kid because that would be horrible television.

Someone needs to invent an exploding LCD monitor.
How many times have we seen a gunfight in an office environemt wher glass shatters and sparks fly and people get killed…

Quebeckers don't donate to charity
Given that Fox was trying to raise money for charity, and further given that he had limited time and resources to do so, it made a lot of sense for him to spend as little time as possible worrying about Quebec.
