Idris Elba as an Andalusian?
Yes I get it that Spain was once upon a time take over by the Moors, and that the Moors are from Africa. BUT GASP! NOT ALL AFRICANS LOOK THE SAME.

Loved the episode - funny, quick and good plot but as an Iranian I kept noticing how poorly they recreated Iran

I read about 400 comments hoping to read the views of those who watched the film, instead it is anti-Nolan and pro-Nolan fans going back and forth trying to come to some sort of absolute universal agreement.

She's Iranian. That's a very standard sandwich in Iran.

Something was very off about this show.

Mowgli to be played by the Olsen twins.

I assume they'll add an Asian girl as a love interest. That'll shut people up.

Any word about
The Yiddish Policemen's Union

Really? Even more amazing then.

When Carrie pulled the curtains open and in the background was actually Tehran, I was very surprised. They did a very good job of making wherever they filmed (Tel Aviv I assume) look like Tehran. Even most of the extras spoke Persian. Well done to the crew for actually paying attention to details like that this

They just had their embassy in Lebanon attacked by an AQ affiliated group. Homeland writers probably lost their minds afterwards.

I'm Iranian and I actually studied in Iran. Except for a very specific few most don't know much Arabic. We're taught a little in school, but we retain very little.
And as mentioned before the border guards are conscripts. Their postings are not selected based on language skills. Its complete randomness. Some guy from

Farsi is what you call it while speaking Persian. If you're speaking English you call it Persian. Just like a french speaker will call French French instead of Francais while speaking English.

It is inconceivable. Particularly because border guards are 18-20 year old conscripts who are from various parts of Iran and are all educated in Persian. Even if they were locals it wouldn't make sense as that is a Iranian Kurdish area.

Really basic error in the show.
When Brody and the dude who crossed the border they spoke in Arabic to the Iranian conscript border guards.
This is ridiculous as Iranians don't speak Arabic (they speak Persian) and they are 2 almost completely different languages.
Really poor error by the show-writers as usual.

I only add this because one of the actors playing the soldiers is for sure a Persian speaking actor.

Those dudes Brody was training with are all supposed to be Iranian American eh?

That's what it is.
