The fake science blather is really irritating me.  I don't really know why, but I find it quite grating.

Here's the sad truth, the writers have no idea.  There is no true consistency and they are just making it up as they go along.  At the end of the series, whenever that is, they will make some kind of statement and claim that, that is what they intended all along.  But the truth will be that they are just hacks.

It's EXACTLY like Entourage.
Sex and the City, Entourage and Girls all exist in the same continuum.  Lena Dunham is playing a less successful version of herself and that calls attention to who she actually is. Even if the character suffers now, she will always be a reflection of Dunham and her success.   For a certain

Girls is exactly like Entourage.  The are the same fucking level, it's just Girls is trying to be more 'meta' about it… and fails.

How many times have you locked yourself away in a bathroom to masturbate at work because you were that turned on..?

Very well put, my friend.

What is with you critics and Hollywood elite bending over backward to defend Girls?  I don't get it.  Do you think that the general hate (or just negative opinion) that has come out against the show to those outside the 'bubble' is just so fucking wrong?  Or could it possibly be that there is something that is just

So does anyone else here think that Amon is one of Aang's other children?  And if I was going to guess, it would be Bumi, the one that is supposed to be a non-bender.

There is content worth championing.  Worth bringing to people's attention.  And then there is content that is off, that is hollow, that is vapid and misses the mark.  This show is the latter.  And by giving it such a glowing grade, it makes me think that the avclub (or the reviewers specifically) have completely

I am very disappointed of this review.  Really, this makes me want to reevaluate what I think about the avclub and what type of point of view it champions.

Did they steal the "gift of the vagi" joke from Awkward.?

make it a regular feature.  i like it.

Fuck it—
I'm still seeing this movie.

Oh. My. God.
Please please please review Pete and Pete. That show is fucking amazing. And there are a gazillion cameos that are awesome.

did anyone else laugh when they read DP..? or was that just me?

Sophist, you used to post on Metaphysics of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, didn't you?

@Lovecraft in Brooklyn - the literal regeneration does make more sense, but in some ways not. It seems too obvious. Also I think they'll have to play the River Song hand soon, and I don't think Matt Smith will be on his way out this fast.
