Of course Toph is Yoda. That is absolutely perfect.
Either way, it still feels good.
Fair enough. I'm not trying to persuade. Not really. I'm not even trying to troll that hard (though, admittedly, sometimes it can be fun to stoke ire). But once in a while, I feel spurred to comment when I see malfeasance. Especially when it comes to ass-hat writers who are vapidity wrapped in pseudo-intellectualism.…
I really wouldn't call it seething in anger. More just bemused/amused at badness.
Oh - I have a lot of shows that are amazing to watch. Don't worry about that. But once in a while a show comes around that the masses deem watchable that is actually terrible.
This show is not good. Damon Lindelof uses the same god-damned empty tricks to create the illusion of intrigue, portent and meaning. Look back at his work and tell me the through line isn't clear.
What? Are you sure? Being blind isn't the same as being poisoned and depressed? Fuck - I've got this all wrong. Thanks for correcting me.
I'm sure there are. But there is only one bender with a disability that an eager audience would like to see return.
God - I've been re-watched parts of these eps all day, especially the last fifteen minutes or so, and I can't help but think we're watching a vibrant, young woman give bits and pieces of herself away to make her world a better place. And still it asks for more.
I'm not saying it'll be an entire season. But I'm guessing it will be a major obstacle for Korra to overcome. Like Buffy Season 6, she's filled with ennui until some sort of epiphany moment (and hopefully without the aid of a less than spectacular Sarah Mclachlan). Aang himself had to go without the avatar state for…
Agreed. That last shot was pretty suggestive of longer term damage.
This is my prediction for book 4: Korra is still suffering from the effects of the venom. She will never be 100% again. During the season, she must learn cope with the diminishment and forge it into a strength.
I usually choke up when Lin gets her powers taken away by Amon. It's a powerful moment.
You are a funny troll.
It's not a matter of taking it seriously. It's that a piece of fiction can hit a chord - the right piece of music… a character we sympathize with… a stark emotion that elicits empathy and I can start to tear up (if it's all mixed together correctly). It's not that I think it is real. It's about seeing a situation…
of course you should keep eating Nutella.
I think you you mean early-"adopting".
