Anyone want to hear my River Song theory..?
I think that at some future point, River Song plays a central role in making the Doctor move into a new stage of his life — not a regeneration — but something that takes away his innocence somehow. Something dark.

I WAS NOT EXPECTING THIS.
That is all…

Super hammy.

Jacob's Obi-Wan-ing it.

Do what you need to, alurin. Do what you need to.

@ PeterK — alright. See, that was what I was asking. I get that response. Fair enough. I thought my initial phrasing of the question was decently neutral. Yeah, I guess I baited them - slightly - but i thought i was just summing up the end of the show 'cause, you know, god did just do it in the end of BSG. But

@ alurin — You know what, fuck that. Liking a show (or piece of music, movie or what-have-you) comes with its own cross to bear. And you know what one of Caprica's is going to be, former BSG lovers who hated the ending. If i feel like occasionally scrolling down to peruse the comments of Caprica and throw out a

@ CronenBurgerMeister — Fair enough.

@ alurin — alright, fair enough. But that's the question I'm asking, are you worried that they are going to feel the need to establish this super interventionist god, with his angels and whatnot, at some point? I mean, presumably, this is taking place in the same universe as BSG and certainty god existed 60 years

@Bad Wolf - umm, yeah that's fine except for the part where the show was supposed to be the answer to all the sci-fi shows where 'magical' tech solves the problems the protagonists faced. Nope, sorry - god just fucking does everything instead. Oh, that's way better.

So is it just me…
…or do most astute viewers have at least a slight trepidation about how the uber-arch will resolve on this show given the track record of Galactica?

Vader is Luke's father.

Amen, brother.

Step by Step
Did he really just casually mention that the guy who played the stoner on that show brought a gun to set? That's fucking awesome!

So how far did you get with the show?
I was bored the last couple of days, so I went online and watched the first season. I gotta say, it was pretty charming. Not really anything surprising, but fun. And all of the blatant Christianity wasn't too annoying.

OK, I got a question. Do you think Kevin Smith actually ghost wrote or script doctored GWH? I mean neither Damon nor Affleck have ever put pen to paper on another screenplay again. For two best original screenplay winners, that seems surprising.

MAJOR BUFFY SPOILERS

sigh… yep.

It's a glimpse into the future…
At the end, when the Koopa World and the human world begin to meld together, there's a scene of the Twin Towers falling into ruin. You might think Super Mario Brothers is a failure but, in fact, it's the cinematic equivalent of Rasputin's writings.
