I have met lots of awesome Cal Tech people in the last few years and I always dork out and ask them if they love Real Genius.

I second the "How to Be Alone" recommendation. Just feel free to skip any essays that don't do it for you, but there sure are some gems in that.

Favorite book of 2010. . .but I am just starting Freedom, so that could beat it. David Mitchell's new book The Thousand Autumns of Jacob de Zoet was also a good read, but didn't live up to my high expectations.

Ok so I have been addicted to Civilization on and off since 1999 when I was 15 and I got CivII. I know that I should resist, but I really want to get the new version. The only other video game I get this excited about is Zelda.

I wish Huell Howser had a cameo in Stepbrothers at the Catalina Wine Mixer.

I have had it on hold for a month. I might just cave and buy it.

I have been waiting for this book ever since her first collection came out, which I loved. Can't wait to read it.

If forced to chose I would go with pie, specifically pecan pie. But I love cupcakes. Especially homemade cupcakes. For my birthday my sister made me lemon curd filled cupcakes with raspberry buttercream frosting and they were fantastic.
