I realize Don't Let Us Get Sick could apply here, I just don't think it was the best choice.

See, I think it applied doubly because the show is ending.  Keep those characters in your heart because House meant so much to you.  Not me, but clearly to you.

I double-checked the lyrics and "Don't Let Us Get Sick" is definitely about someone who isn't sick, dumb, or old, and really wants to stay that way.  I guess dying is implied, but like you said that's an ever present theme with this guy.
And I find it hard to see how it's any less generic.  One says, don't forget me

I'm a big Warren Zevon fan, and that might be a better song, but I think the one they chose fits better with House "dying," Wilson dying, and the show ending.  "Don't Let Us Get Sick" could've fit anywhere in a medical drama.

The writers make up the world, the characters, and the plot-lines.  Why choose to make a character look foolish for not immediately accepting an irrational explanation?
I just think the decision to characterize respect for the scientific method as idiotic, and they make a sharp distinction between magic and science

Wow, Season 01, Episode 07 is a disturbing attack on science.  Even in a universe where magic exists, it's pretty cheap to demean a characters disbelief in the unexplainable.  I was waiting for them bring up "creation science"

I'm watching this series from the beginning after seeing the first two episodes of season 2.

That makes sense, but I was hoping the review would chime in with some professional knowledge beyond just speculation however reasonable.  Then again, his guess is probably as good as anyone's without actually being privy to the network's decision-making.

Thanks…1500 comments are hard to read through and that makes sense, especially in light of the networks apparent ambiguity about the show.

I was hoping the review would address why this was a 3-episode finale.  I was thinking they're just burning off episodes, but then they're ordering another 13 episodes?  Seems like kind of a waste.  Why not extend the season another week or two?  I know the show isn't very strong, but is there anything better being
