@avclub-c987daec78a75f34ac5cf62b5f62352b:disqus , yes, those are all phrases I used. Your point?
Also, I don't think it's too unreasonable to assume that someone actively taking suggestions for movies to watch by commenting on a pop-culture site like A.V. Club would have a Netflix queue.

Oh, to relive that wonderful surprise again…

The ad campaign was misleading, and the film is more original than you're probably giving it credit for, but I also wouldn't go so far as to call it a "good film." I'm not exactly clamoring for my 90 minutes back, but neither am I champing at the bit to recommend it. If you like Brendan Fraser, give it a go. If you

Hey, Sam, Ziggy says there's a 70% chance you're here to land the Dow Chemicals account, but personally I think you should just try to land a date with that foxy redhead. Va-va-VOOM!

@avclub-97b2d5e5f92c333976018236d76658d9:disqus I think the phrase you were looking for was: "Wait, I had something for this…"

You wanna talk a little jive? 'Cuz I'll talk some jive like you NEVER heard!

Yeah, but that was because Fox didn't give Serenity the promotion or distribution it needed. I lived in Central Ohio when it came out, and I was its target audience, but I had to go 90 minutes out of my way to find a theater that was playing it at all.

"You mean all you had to do to get famous was sing? Then what were all my 'private auditions' for?"

I started watching Lost in mid-season 1, tuned in weekly after that, and by the time the finale rolled around it had become not just my favorite show running, but my favorite show ever. There were ups and downs after that, and on balance I wouldn't call Lost my single favorite show anymore, but I don't think a weak

The uneven narrative style seems to imply that none of them smoke regularly, but they all sneak a cigarette from time to time. (Or rather, they all did. Marshall and Lily are supposed to have stopped now that Marvin is born… I guess cigars don't count.)

What some people are calling the "What is that?" gag is a tendency they've had for a while. I've been complaining about it since at least 2010, at which time I called it Seinfelding, but it's gotten way more frequent and blatant this season.

Yeah, Ted smoked in that fantasy sequence, but I don't think it was supposed to be implied that he "really" smoked there. Plus, it wouldn't break canon, because he says his last cigarette was the night he met the mother.
