You know, I just saw BRIDGE ON THE RIVER KWAI in a theater a few weeks ago, and it looked shockingly bad. I expected quite the opposite, since the LAWRENCE OF ARABIA re-release looked so good. Don't know what happened.

@avclub-ac9409d10ea7b978d52b9e977ef787cc:disqus I prefer BLUE as well. I like RED an awful lot, but WHITE didn't do much for me at all.

BRIDGES!? Are you kidding? The bookending device alone (intershot throughout, no less) tears it down a bunch of notches (see also: SAVING PRIVATE RYAN, though that one's not so egregious).

CASINO is a poor, poor film with a couple of good set pieces. That's it. It's a movie Scorsese made because most people caught on to GOODFELLAS too late, so he tried to make it again.

Man, that's a great movie.

Huh. This series was the first time I realized Matthew Perry can truly act. I thought he was terrific.

Yes. I haven't seen SEVEN since it first came out, but my party was sorely disappointed.
