I'm glad someone else caught that.

Good, but not that good
Overall, this was better than I thought it would be, but man — every now and then it ventured — consciously and not — waaaaayyyy too close to self parody for my taste. Kirk must have some damned strong fingernails; he hung by them — what? — five times? And the verbal beat-down of Spock was

Michael Moore, for me
Amy Winehouse, too. But Michael Moore is a man who's smart enough to know better, yet has crafted himself as a shtick. His work is manipulative, often errant, and even when I agree with him it just seems false.

Ah. My bad.

I didn't know the circumstances (DB stepdad) but even still — would you really stay in the car until the last moment?

You forget "Der Meister."

Driving an antique sports car off a cliff to get your jollies
— is awfully fucking suspect. I hope they reconcile this in some way.

It's passable, but pretty poor.

Aw shit. Please don't tell me I have to see STOP-LOSS.

His cover of "Blue Moon" is awesome

"Union Sundown" is definitely obvious, but it does have "I can see the day coming when even your home garden is gonna be against the law." That's pretty great.

INFIDELS is one of my favorite of his albums, actually. Through and through.

Though I live in San Jose, California, the only place I've seen it is in nearby Newark at a record store. That's no longer there.

The end is near
Ah well. I've only seen the print version a couple times, anyway.

The debut album and INFIDELS.

Folks who can't stand Dylan's voice
I mean, I sorta get it, because though I loved "bad" singers like Lou Reed, Joe Strummer, and Bob Dylan, I had to really force myself to dive into Neil Young's catalog. I loved some of his songs, but something about his voice was a big hurdle. But, man — to just dismiss Dylan

I think you just gave me an idea.

Gyorgy Ligeti.

I paid to see "W" in a theater and wound up leaving. Not because it was bad, but jsut because it just lays there. It could have pretty easily been a Showtime movie, really.
