WEST WING
I loved his character on that show. Kinda like Adam Arkin's; one of the only people not married to Bartlett who could kick his ass a little.

"The Wrong Child" is like seventh grade poetry. BAD seventh grade poetry.

I think "Mr. Blue Sky" probably sneaked in because ELO was pretty much unstoppable at that point. Plus it is just truly so damned sunny.

ELDORADO is the album that can convince some haters. And it's a terrific sustained vocal performance by Lynne, too.

"Wendel Gee" is all kinds of awesome.

"Duncan" was on Simon's first solo album.

"The Lights Go Down" has a nice sound to it, but those songs all strike me as Jeff Lynne on autopilot.

Half of TIME is a pretty great record. then on side two it pretty much goes to hell.

"One Summer Dream" is a great example of what's more or less doggerel and still undeniably sublime.

That version of "The Night they Drove Old Dixie Down" is incredibly powerful. One of the great rock moments so far.

"Jungleland"
That was my favorite for years.

Petty, The Band
"The Best of Everything" knocks me out.

Not to be an ass, but —

"America" is pretty fucking amazing. Nice pick.

That's a good one.

It's "favorite" song, not "best."
I think that explains a lot.

FROZEN RIVER
Leo should've had the Oscar, in my book. They should have snagged a best picture nomination, too, if not the win. Boooooo.

…and?

I'm a little ashamed I don't know the name of the actor who plays Landry, 'cause he's good stuff.

Thanks, Chrissy — that's really good to know.
