A perfect teenhood
I was satisfied enough with my book and film catalog throughout my teens and was definitely more expanded than most kids. Musically, I even cut off my Zeppelin teen obsession solely to concentrate on exploring more music. (However, I didn't exactly kick the LZ security blanket off my bed, so to

Ooo, ooo. Do that one, AV Club! Right on, calf fiend! They can complete the paragraph with what it was specifically they needed to get back to doing. I can't wait.

On more good Ringo, "Good Morning, Good Morning"/"Sgt. Pepper's (Revised)", a lot of the drumming on Plastic Ono Band, "Old Brown Shoe", "Cry Baby Cry" (some credit about Ringo's drumming must come from the production that brought those drums to the front for us to listen to, btw. Not a common thing back in the

Reuniting
This is easy. When the parent and child reunite. I smile even in the bad films and tear up in the good films. And I don't even have some miserable, lost parent story to explain this.

In a world where…
…there are no crotch shots.

"Or nearly every line from The Matrix."

Didn't "American Pie" convey more awkwardness than bliss? Aren't most current high school comedies playing around with the awkward blueprint "Fast Times" laid down? Are people watching these movies thinking 'well, I never had that much fun in high school so these films are bullshit!'

Perfectly used? We already knew nitrate is highly flammable by the characters dialogue. Why did Tarantino feel obligated to put Samuel Jackson on to tell us just how flammable nitrate is? QT often doesn't doubt his audience's intellect but there were a few moments in the film that made me question my prior assumption.

Yeah, this seemed the weakest of all the cliches.

My favorite QTFL was Sarah Jessica Parker in L.A. Story.

Christopher Nolan adapts "Death Note"
I'll give him HBO time if he can't condense the brilliant story into a film.

I wanted to create my own entry but this is close enough: big, flashy action blockbusters.

The AV Club led me to re-read this again. My first time was in middle school and, like the assumed perception of the reader above, I found Holden 'insufferable'.

Toolin
My first job was as a pit monkey at my stepfather's independent car mechanic spot. He was the assistant manager and got me "hooked up" there.

Overanalyzing Heisler's entry
I admit that I get more awkward with the idea each passing year that The Daily Show and Colbert Report are some glorious affirmation of our civil liberties.

Representing
Studs Terkel really made me appreciate every person I meet. He teaches us how important listening is and happily gives the narrative of his books over to the people he meets instead of representing them like most other ego-based authors.

Yeah, kudos Noel. "Paul's Boutique" should be in audio art galleries. Um, there are such things, right?

No, really, actually. Christ, I've caught that adverb bug from Riff's post.

I'm spoiled here in the NW to actually go to independent rental stores and talk with people there about movies. (Shout out to Rainy Day, Stadium and Scarecrow! You guys rock my VHS world!) Although I do have a mail service with the inferior Greencine, I stubbornly avoid Netflix because I like actually interacting with
