Man, are we really not getting a 24-hour marathon curator this year? I love that feature.

"Because media conglomerates don’t care about sentiment, and won’t hold
back on progress to comfort the timid. But they do care about where
people are spending money."
Man, the ending to that second film was perfect (and included a Nina Simone ass reference.) But, oh well, give me a third film if all three are ready to do it again.
To reserve a moment of sincerity here, if Scott really is out of AV Club, I will miss his insights and still consider him one of the best film reviewers out there. His condensed paragraphs reviews as viewed on rottentomatoes led me to this site and I've lost hundreds of hours of free time since. Thank you, Scott, for…
Here's some education/context about the long-awaited anticipation:

Bruce Willis.
She always slays
I've seen her twice and it doesn't take a Big Black cover for her to thrash. She'll take one of her delicate studio pieces and riotously fuck it up. I'm still waiting for that masterpiece album I know she has in her (the first two have seemed like mere preparation for it) but for now the live show…
I still think that "Family Affair" by Sly reaching No. 1 on the US charts means the country will never be as cool as it was in 1971.
Great subject
Will you do any 70s albums? I tire of people talking about the 80s.
Sound quality
Thanks, Steven. This is one of the best articles I've ever read here.
I too totally agree with WolfsmansRazor. Even at the new golden age peak that Murray described back in 07, I'm reluctant to get into TV as a medium based on what I saw from some of those shows listed.
Hyperbole can be nuanced
I've learned to maturely present hyperbole by tying to briefly present my passions about a film or band in a quick way with typically a slight reference to a deeper personal reason why I love the film. That reference might be something family-related or artistically related.
I haven't seen the film but the animosity comparisons to "The Blair Witch Project" and how it was received seem noteworthy. I loved that film for its creativity but most people despised the whole hoax-or-no-hoax aspect to it.
@ Yes Man — You cruel bastard. Who would tell a pre-wedding couple to watch that film prior to their big day? The ceremony is way too grandiose and $$$ for most modern-day couples to even approach something that effortless and amazing.
Hella rules. I have a great first story of seeing them. They were opening for The Aislers Set at a coffee shop in 03.
Psych classics at a young age
"More than that, Superunknown was a monumental hard-rock record, a psych-metal masterpiece that expertly applied gonad-rattling heaviness to pop hooks that were cryogenically engineered to pluck your pleasure centers while drawing a little blood in the process."
Weirdest merchandise item…
Jimi Hendrix
"Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year"
10" green vinyl single
features "Little Drummer Boy," "Silent Night/Auld Lang Syne"
Belzer does a great Mick Jagger
Why there aren't more Mick Jagger impersonators in the world is beyond me. Can't all the Elvis bozos die off already and make room for our amateur Micks? Then and only then I would go to Vegas.
Exactly. When broadband access is truly universal, plans like what Netflix just did will make sense. But a lot of us are pretty poor or stuck in outdated communities, so this is a plan too far ahead of its time.
Faerie Tale Theatre + Tall Tales & Legends
Come on, Shelly Duvall, you're still alive to tell the tales.
