"Hi - may I wear your skin suit?"
Oh Lord, I love me some Ellie.
"Hi - may I wear your skin suit?"
Oh Lord, I love me some Ellie.
Yeah, the last name thing threw me, too.
Like… is he a descendent of Hitler?
Is that where we're going?
It wouldn't surprise me, I'd just like to know in advance.
Definitely get the Huffman comparison, except that she doesn't look quite as austere.
That's who she is!
She had really short hair in her cycle, right?
I kept thinking she was from ANTM, but couldn't properly place her.
No.
Never happened.
I like her too much for that to have been something she was involved in.
I, er… I do not appreciate being made to look insane, @avclub-1e850f6bef0bc36ca1f64e95ff1cbd2e:disqus
I can do that perfectly well, myself.
To be fair, if he said he wasn't sure the movie was good, he was probably just being truthful…
I get that it got him a lot of interest, but it really wasn't a great movie.
"AH WISH AHH KNEW HAW TAH QUIT YOUUUU!"
Hush, Jake.
Oh, that IS next week!
Really, @avclub-668d17e713035d498574d832bdd3d7f7:disqus ?
I didn't see it as this repressed, virginal thing, just that from Lorelai's point of view, her daughter hasn't been rushed into doing the same things that she did herself.
I don't think I've actually ever watched any of Jake's interviews. I generally like to YouTube any interview I can with celebrities I like, but I think he's one of those where if I knew his personality, it would more than likely turn me off, so I just never did.
Why, what did he say in the interviews?
…fairly adorable?!
He's on the top of my list, along with early 2000s Jake Gyllenhaal, before he got all muscly.
Hell. Yeah.
I must say, these Gilmore reviews/threads are my favourite part of AV Club.
I suppose…
I was always more a Dave Rygalski/Seth Cohen kinda guy, though.
EDIT: Marky Mark I can understand, but… Randy Orton?
Ew, really? Dean's so… foreheady.
Even now that he's grown into his face I don't see the attraction, but I suppose I'm not into the '10-foot-beefcake' thing, anyway.
Gimme someone geeky and self-deprecating and I'll be quite happy.
@avclub-83de02c3cfc3634de1279cbc17a8fbae:disqus , apparently not.
Maybe they were going for 'originality', maybe they were just illiterate.
They were inbred, after all, with the marrying cousins…
Seconded, I love that scene.
"I got the good kid."
It's ridiculous the awesome clothes they dressed her in.
I liked that they always put her in stuff that looked like it might have been affordable, but you knew it wasn't.
Oh well, of course.
The floor's normally laid out with the WSJ, but darn it all, I just forgot today.
Bitch, it is Lorelai.
With an 'a'.
I realise it's actually a difficult name to spell, but… you know…
I know, right?!
Like you've JUST had one, there cannot be another within the next three days.
I get that it was just the reason to get the Grandparents in an episode, but would it have hurt to set some kind of time frame?
"Oh, that week sure did go fast!"
"I'll say!"
"It's Friday again, now that we've had a full week of…
