You're putting that degree to great use!

There are actual people being killed and raped and mutilated in the world right now, and what are you doing to help them? Nothing. This "controversy" is a painless way for privileged white people to feel outrage without any actual stakes. It's a monument to cultural idiocy.

Day three and I'm still waiting to read something intelligent about this whole thing.

And a nation wept.

Yeah, disappointing. I like Glover, but I guess I only "really" like Troy—I know next to nothing about him as a person. Self-important douche or just having a bad day?

You jerks should start covering Nashville again.

I'll just tuck this right in here:

Anyone here who hasn't heard it should look up "I Want Someone Badly," the track that Jeff Buckley sang on from that album. Dear Sweet Baby Jesus, what a song.

I laughed at every line of the exchange when Andy and Haley first met in the kitchen. I'm an easy target, I guess.

If The Middle were about a grumpy widower raising his three oddball kids in the Midwest, it would be one of the best comedies ever produced.

<40 minutes:

I keep reading it, thinking it might make sense a fifth or sixth time. What the fuck is he trying to say?

Wheels up in two hours. And don't forget your tassels!

Oooooh, someone's dying single!

Here's Catherine's far more positive review of Yellowcard's (!) new acoustic (!) album, which she praises for the band's "remarkable maturity."

The more I listen to this album, the less sense this review makes. I'll bet Catherine half-listened to it once while she was doing other things, then tossed off a few bored paragraphs to hit a quick deadline. These songs deserve better than this hack job.

Says someone who's almost certainly never been there and knows of it only through snarky blog posts.

Of course you can—DJing in Ableton's lots of fun.

Here's the beginning of Catherine's Middle Cyclone review
