'Frolic' by Michelini or gtfo, Internet…

I prefer the Dave Edmunds cover version, that song is a pop nugget/gem.

Patel's Aussie accent is flawless.

10. Any mention of Mark Waugh must be accompanied by a full description of his beautiful, soft pair of hands.

yeah he'll be a loss, there's no one half as clever as Dennis calling AFL; Anthony Hudson is ok as a straight game-caller; the rest are pretty horrendous.
Brian Taylor is fucking awful, what did we do to deserve him?

Too much hype quickly wears out it's welcome; British commentators are generally miles ahead of the rest for their very restraint and well-chosen words.
Aussie Cricket commentator Richie Benaud was a master of understatement, dry humour and loooong silences, letting the action actually speak for itself. Cricket of

"Little yellow bastards, they'd love to see me sit this one out.."

is that some kind of Eastern thing?

I've heard all I want to and I don't want to hear anymore

hmm, we might be talking about different gigs; the Mirage one didn't have Over My Head.
And definitely no studio sweetening; I've watched that vid/dvd many times; Buckingham hits the very odd bum note (notably on 'Not that funny') to somewhat humanize his otherwise godly playing ..

That's certainly feasible - I have a Buckingham-only playlist version of Tusk; I'm not that fond of the McVie/Nicks songs (with some exceptions), and as a conceptual piece it makes sense to me to isolate the oddly-produced Buckingham stuff.

he has; he introduced me to the comics (he's in his 60's, he loved them!)

sounds like Buckingham giving a 'yelp' to me - dude loved yelping around that period ..

definitely a UK song; I'm in Australia and happened to hear it a few times during (I think) the late 80's - not sure if it was a hit, but it was definitely shit!

I shared my opinion on this album a while back on AV; I'd argue that Buckingham's compositions on Mirage - while fewer - are the equal of anything he did on Tusk.

the Anansi Boys audiobook is among my faves of its type; Lenny Henry does a wonderful job of tackling the various characters and their accents ..

that footage looks really promising; got a good feeling about this - really hope they adapt Anansi Boys too.

Yeah I am in the same boat as you knightfall; I struggled through 3 episodes and quickly realised this show wasn't gonna be for me, despite being a huge fan of the comics.
One commenter took me to task by saying that Garth Ennis had approved all of the changes - that commenter probably failed to take into account the
