How can any film with dialogue as wonderful as the following be rated at %58 on Rotten Tomatoes??
She was only 17 years old!
Agree with you that the Hurt/Will Tudor scenes have been uniformly great; I've just rushed through Akta Maniskoor (Real Humans) and this subplot is one that has been refined and improved upon from the original arc.
Also agree with your sentiments on Rebecca Front, wonderful actress and one of the real Quiet Batpeople…
'lots of boring backstory' - jayzus, for another reviewer!
in limbo, along with my Blake's 7 remake?
any sign of the friggin' Micronauts?
no, but have heard its good - might give it a go; thanks.
he's wonderful, a great blend of naive and mysterious.
yeah I largely agree @avclub-c66e4363fba3684d3bbe7c12bfbcc377:disqus and said as much elsewhere in this thread - I've been enjoying both shows so far and it's a bummer to have to read this guy's pissy reviews.
I kinda understand that both shows frustrate him, it's just a shame that it happens to be both pretty much the…
Just started with Real Humans a couple of days ago and you're right, most of non-Eischer synths are delightfully plastic looking with a real uncanny valley vibe.
Odi is great, but the one who really pulls it off incredibly is the guy who plays Roger; the guy may indeed actually be a robot.
Brandon also covers Deutschland 83, which I have been really enjoying, but that show also seems a real chore for him to watch and some of the reviews make me question whether he is only half-watching at times.
I can recognise that both shows have their issues and weaknesses, but, as with most entertainment I am…
I'm currently up to date with Humans but have also just started watching Real Humans.
I've been thoroughly enjoying Humans, shortcomings and all, but I must say Real Humans has really captured my imagination in the first two episodes; the stories have yet to diverge in any meaningful way but the world of Real Humans is…
wha?
the reboot?
completely humourless and forgettable imo ..
Continuity has never been the Evil Dead franchise's strong suit.
ah that's just pillow-talk baby
you're not kiddin' man, I laughed my arse off during the trailer; didn't realise how much I was looking forward to it!
great, great examples.
the traffic jam episode was genius; particularly loved the part where Mrs Warboys makes her first appearance, returning to the back seat of the Meldrew's car half-way through the episode after apparently spending the first part of the ep searching for a bag of crisps, safe in the knowledge that…
Thanks misslucas; I also thought the floppy disk scenes were this episode's most effective and mischievous.
good point - I really enjoyed the insights in the review and I'm excited if this is the kind of quality we can expect for the rest of the series, which I'm enjoying so far - but the Leo/wires thing was a pretty big wtf moment!
