… fades to black
Worse; was exposed for writing a negative comment on a Cameron Esposito piece.
Me too, but it won't stop the hordes getting on board!
Yes - speaking of which, total minutes of dialogue featuring African American or Caucasian American's in Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon?
0.
I had that problem with Blue Ruin …
To me his white male's sense of entitlement is the whole point of the show.
It took the contrast of other characters to actually reveal this however; the pilot gave little indication that the show would take the direction that it did.
I'll give you a very simple quick explanation as to why there weren't 'Scarlett Johannson' sex clones in this parallel Earth where synths are prevalent: lawsuits.
All I'm aware of is that the original Swedish version is in limbo after 2 seasons … it sounds as though the UK version may deviate somewhat from that original version, and I did read one interview with the UK showrunners where they expressed hope that they would be picked up for a second season, and that they had a…
Yes - and as to why "Petra" or Kramer weren't used by the East Germans to carry out Martin's missions; the reason was plainly stated in the first episode; Martin is able to pass for the late Stamm; not sure how good Petra's ability to disguise herself is, and she is admittedly kinda mannish, but Martin was needed…
exactly; there's a few quibbles the reviewer seemed to be a bit off-base, e.g. the first line of the review:
"The problem with Deutschland 83 is Martin has no reason to be a good worker and a bunch of reasons not to. What, they’re gonna kill him for being bad at this?"
I'm the opposite; excited to see Julian Barratt tackle something comedic without Fielding alongside him.
Always preferred Barratt's delivery over Fielding's but he (Barratt) seems to have kept a pretty low profile post-Mighty Boosh (I've heard him doing voiceover on a couple of documentaries, that's about it ..)
indeed.
also; i'd argue some of the acting, whilst mannered, is amazing; the scene were Naomi Watts' character (Bett?) auditions and Patrick Fischler's ability to take us on his journey of fear are both great, for starters ..
Tim Curry had better be reprising his role!
1 Ratatouille
2 Toy Stories
3 the Incredibles
4 Finding Nemo
5 Up!
6 Wall-E
7 A Bug's Life
8 Monster's Inc.
.. the rest …
You won't *believe* the 7th thing he knows!
haha, brilliant.
Strong men also cry.
The message was great; the film only partially works for me but I could still quite easily pop it on right now and enjoy a lot of it.
Lesser Pixar is still pretty solid.
Bingo.
Up! isn't my favourite Pixar film but it's sweet and touching, and you're right on the money; the relationship Carl and Russell form in the shadow of the death of Carl's wife and Russell's absent father is the whole point of the film.
I do agree the talking dogs concept was a bit random, thematically, but imo the…
