also, staffers made some supreme selections, surprised at how much I genuinely laughed!

A 'Turkey' is a *bad* person!

I think there's been a rape up there! ^

the scene where a young James Incandenza is being berated/lectured by his Dad was one of the funniest things I've ever read …

you're just vamping - and stay away from them love apples man!

wow, I own Singing Detective on dvd and was just considering watching it again after not having thought of it for a couple of years - great, groundbreaking television, I remember when it aired I was still quite young and it really blew my mind - still holds up wonderfully well.

wow, now that's diversifying - I hope it's great!

how so?
he's pretty cool, and a great servant to the band in his often low-key contributions - it's nice to get a good look at him in action throughout this concert, often he's given short shrift as far as visual exposure goes!

yah; I'm a huge Talking Heads fan, own a million bootlegs and still scour the 'net regularly for newly emerged concert footage (and every few months the internet *still* delivers; I've seen some amazing stuff that must've lay dormant for decades).

.. and that's what it's about.

the Gap? Donaldson?

The first tape I purchased was Talking Heads True Stories .. that album was released in '86 so must've been about 12 ..
So; awesome band, but arguably their weakest album ..

yup; why else d'ya think he called Heisler a prick?

pretty dated, but it was must-see television for Aussies in the 70's and had some influence in forging the national 'larrikinism' identity - personally I hated Crocodile Dundee, but the Paul Hogan show had some good moments (er, and plenty of casual sexism)

syringesand is best sand..

both were born o/s ..

was gonna nominate Madness meself, good call.

Yakety Sax?

The Mentals were fucking great, a lot of (Great) poppy, accessible stuff but they also had an interesting experimental bent, especially early on.
Plus Reg Mombassa was a hugely underrated guitarist; got a lot of fame for his Mambo artwork but I loved him for his manic slide style ..

really?
has to be 10….1; easily their best album in my eyes …
