Agree with kimstaff, now that Boyd knows these fancy people are just like him - sons of bitches - I hope he can turn around and make some big steps up at their expense.

My favorite was "the greatest(?) man god ever strung a gut through"
Raylan aslo said git-er-dun which was less thrilling
The music, too? Moving chords and such, it's almost impossible not to feel something (not fair, but I don't mind!). Good music on this show!!
Donald doesn't want the device back in his head.
Yeah I hadn't though much about this before but it's pretty crappy all right. Removing sex-related emotions follows the observer agenda for sure, I guess removing all individuals of the more emotional/intuitive sex was the most effective course. Definitely makes the observers all the more revolting.
If that song played in the finale, I would groan with utter disappointment, but right now I am really enjoying imagining it.
I agree with both of you about the probabilities and lack of emotional understanding that the Big Boss showed. That was a great scene and it's OK that Noel was slightly bothered by the probability thing, even my first reaction was, ugh a storytelling shortcut/cliche, as Crooked_Paul said.
I did forget The Pattern, hmm… it will be hard to wrap up all of these threads like Noel said. Wow, can't wait until next week!
haha inverse blush, I like it.
Yeah I'm on board for a little bit of sappiness, these characters deserve a fond farewell.
Yeah it will be interesting to see how the timelines/loops are resolved, hard/confusing to predict, but this seems plausible.
Totally! This struggle between humanity v. technology or emotion v. cold intelligence has driven the show, but balance between the two might be the winner.
I agree but am not sure that Dontember and Michael need to sacrifice themselves, though they are taking that risk. Michael isn't the only evidence that Observers can experience emotion- September obviously could and now Windmark (rage) and his underling (enjoyment of jazz) are showing cracks as well. Interaction…
"Django is not a film that is supposed to open America up to a discussion about slavery." — I completely disagree.
"Watch Roots or read Fredrick Douglas' autobiography if you want a
serious discussion about slavery and wish to think long and hard about
it." — I completely agree. I also completely agree with Cookie…
No no no, not inert. I haven't read far but am starting to take issue with you all's being bored by the episode. It's meant to be reflective- the past and its interpretation has meaning and the story itself has jumped both ~4 years in Walter/Olivia/Peter time and 21 years in storyline time. Characters are…

agree with both of you - sense of urgency was necessary to underly/give energy to this episode… that came both from observers coming and from bark disease (urgency for Fringe Division and for tree people). But the bark disease is a way of life for tree people, fighting observers a way of life for Fringe Division.

I don't think it was lacking… but it certainly was slower paced. Not necessarily a problem, especially since there was a point to it- history and all. Reminding us that a lot has happened in the 21 years in amber. Good episode.
