Watch that first step, it's a doozy!

I like this comparison. You could almost call "Good Kid, MAAD City" Kendrick's "OK Computer". GKMC took hip hop to some incredibly inventive new places but still generally rested within the genre, much as OK Computer was a rock record that pushed the boundaries of that genre to its limits. Both records were were…
GET TOP ON THE PHONE!!!
This episode was really, really amazing. The character study of Marcia Clark within the context of this case touched on so many issues women face in all facets of society, whether it be her appearance, society's expectations of her within traditional female roles, double standards faced in professional life, etc. etc.…
Agreed, Amnesiac is superb and criminally underrated.
The Thin Red Checkout Line
Sorry, but a Veep with "heart" would not be Veep. Veep is a brutal, uncompromising political satire, which is what makes it such a great show. Do you really want to see these characters be, like, nice to each other? Gross.
I wasn't aware that "the great Drew Magary," is apparently some kind of expert on metal. And here I thought he was just a douchey sports writer…
Did you see this? Not quite as in-depth as Oliver's takedown (which was spectacular), but I thought this segment was brilliant, on par with the glory days of The Colbert Report.

Yes yes yes. Goddammit….this comment section has made me angrier than anything I've ever seen on this site, so I'm gonna go all caps now:
THIS IS A REVIEW OF 'MASTER OF PUPPETS', WHICH IS CONSIDERED BY MANY (MYSELF INCLUDED) TO BE THE GREATEST METAL ALBUM OF ALL TIME.
YAY the comment section of a review of the GREATEST METAL ALBUM EVER MADE have been hijacked to talk about fucking napster. Seriously???? Thanks AV Club commenters. You guys are the fucking worst.
Something tells me Wolf would secretly enjoy being forced to participate in some deviant, abominable, sexually confusing stuff.
Speaking of 'Nam, I finally saw Full Metal Jacket the other day. My mind was blown when I realized after all these years that the sample from 2 Live Crew's "Me So Horny" came from a fucking Kubrick film….
Finally gave this a spin today. I was really down on Centipede, and kinda almost scared to check this out, but I like this one quite a bit so far!
Wowwww, I really like Our Love to Admire ('Rest My Chemistry' is in my top 5 Interpol songs), but easily their best? That's a major stretch. Bright Lights and Antics are front-to-back classics. El Pintor and OLTA are tied in third for me.
Man, lots of Gus hate in here. Maybe it's just my love of Paul Rust from New No No's, but I found Gus to be pretty funny and someone I would probably enjoy hanging out with, despite him being kind of a piece of shit.
I didn't get that impression at all. She laid out the character flaws in Gus (fake niceness) that popped up throughout the rest of the season. She was totally proven right by the end of the season.
I've watched both, and think they are both pretty great. Why do you think You're the Worst is so much better?
It took me a long time to come around on the Solo Bolo's, but holy shit this was amazing.
"I don't do a lot of squats, if that's what you mean. I do work out my butt when I take shits."
I binged through this over the weekend. It was really great. Rust and Jacobs are amazing, and the supporting players all have some really funny moments. My favorites: The Perfect Storm theme song, Brett Gelman's rant after being taken advantage of sexually, Andy Dick being a lunatic, Gus and Bertie bombing their…
