I was there the first weekend, and god damn they were awesome

I saw them live a few weeks ago, and they ended with a 15 minute Carry the Zero. I had always, always wanted to hear them really jam this song out. It was fucking spectacular. Like a 15 minute guitar orgasm.

The episode reminded me a lot of "Shut the door. Have a seat." which happens to be my all-time favorite. It had all the wheeling and dealing, ticking clock elements with the team trying to pull out one more last-ditch effort to save SC. And that only made it that much more devastating when they failed.

You also gotta remember this staff has gone through this soooo many times now. Original SC > Owned by PPL > Almost owned by McCann > SCDP > SC&P > SC&P as a division of McCann > McCann….At this point they just can't hear Don give another rousing speech about how this is the beginning of something great. It rings

Ugh…fucking Death Grips. A friend of mine is way into them, and says a lot of shit like…"The fact that they don't show up at their concerts is part of the performance art aspect they are going for. They are the only true punks left. They are trolling the entire music industry."

Joan did not come off well in this episode. Peggy's comment to Joan on how she dresses was thoughtless, but she did not intend to hurt Joan's feelings. Joan's comment was just bitter and mean. And then she went and shopped her feelings away. Yuck.

Don was in full-on Season 4 'Fuck the Pain Away' mode, haven't seen that Don since he got re-married. Not only using an answering service for his women, but then hitting on the answering service operator! Jesus Christ, Don

I'd love to see Burt Peterson come back too, but only so Roger can fire him again. If they could work that into every episode somehow I'd be on board.

It took me a long time to realize the significance of his line "The wrapper looked just like what was inside"

"I saw my father-in-law with the BIGGEST, BLACKEST PROSTITUTE I have ever seen!"

I think 'The Only Thing' is maybe the most beautiful song he's ever done. Seriously.

I second. All of Illinoise is fucking great, but its this simple little song that kills me every single time. That piano line is one of the most haunting, beautiful things ever

There is certainly bitterness in her (absolutely understandable after all the bullshit she's put up with). But at the same time there is still hope left in Joan that she will find real love. When she could have thrown in the towel and married Bob for convenience sake she turned him down because he could never truly

What redeeming qualities does Tony have? By the end of the series he was a complete monster

Exactly! Idiotking…you're all right.

That's not at all what I'm saying. I should have been clearer: "[try to] make Leela love this imperfect version of himself…" would have been more appropriate. My comment was talking about Fry's more noble (in my mind) choice of working to improve himself in order to win Leela's heart without using the aid of the super

Bollocks. The ending is wonderful. Yes, Fry has become a superhuman without much downside, but it is not his true self. To make Leela fall in love with this version is a cheat, a short cut that would ultimately lead to negative consequences. In my mind, Fry would only continue to become more and more advanced, and

I'M JAMMING! JAMMING!

M83 + MDMA is a hell of a combo

"By the time the album came wewuveneven speakin' with one another it was mental"
