The coke was so good back then
The coke was so good back then
I've been talkin' bout FREE-DOM!
I fucking love this song.
Woozle wuzzle?
Keep those balls in the air! Keep those baaaaaaaaallllllls in the air!
Elephant is one of the most impressively shot films I've ever seen. So many of the shots - especially the long takes of different characters walking down seemingly endless hallways - evoke this deep feeling of dread, knowing what will be coming in the climax. Yet despite the coming dread, Savides and Van Sant show…
Yeah that line was….yeah.
I wish the scene in the season finale when he was Hodor-ing into the well had played out like this:
Hodor: "Hoooooooodor! HOOOOOOOOOOODORRRRR!!!"
Bran: "Don't."
Hodor: "Fuck you, Bran."
God, this song….I remember being a depressed high school junior who had recently gotten dumped by my first real girlfriend. I literally drove around and listened to this song 10 times in a row one night. It is so sad, so beautiful. "I don't even try…." Man it still cuts to the core. You understand me Beck…you…
Don't forget The Information. I feel like that is such an overlooked Beck record. I think it's as good as those others you mentioned. My personal favorite.
Whoa there Timbo, I just think the song sucks.
The look that Sally had at the dinner table when Don showed up, my god that was heartbreaking…Kiernan Shipka has had some amazing moments throughout the series, but none better than this scene.
Littlefinger's speech from the end of episode 6 has really stuck with me throughout the back half of this season.
Worship You
Wyatt Cenac as Puppet Michael Steele!
How many times do I gotta tell this kid chicken wings?
That song really is amazing. It's so simple, just the vocoder loop, Panda's vocal, and a really minimal beat. The vocals don't seem to fit together at first, but they gradually weave their way in with the loop, and it's fucking euphoric. It's like a magic trick.
Kick. Punch. It's all in your mind!
Man I love that Bronson verse. That Pat Summit line, and the whole thing with the girl with the cleft pallete and club foot. Hilarious.
And that Abercrombie line….that is some wack shit.
