Haters gon' hate.
Haters gon' hate.
I don't know a single female who doesn't fawn all over Depp. The backlash is just never going to happen. Everything the guy does is gold in their eyes. It's almost a hypnotic, cult-like phenomenon.
Corpse Bride was ok, but utterly forgettable. Nightmare Before Christmas, on the other hand, is great. It should be noted that Henry Selick directed it though, and not Tim Burton.
I really dislike iTunes as well. It's just not as intuitive as I'd like it to be. I hate, for example, the way it manages my podcasts.
Apple's products are just generally better than the competitors. The Zune, for example, sucks. There's a reason it's constantly outsold on a ridiculous scale compared to the various generations of iPods available. I'm typing this up on my iBook G4 right now… I bought it in 2005 and I reckon it's still better than any…
I enjoyed the Svankmajer version very much. It's my favorite adaptation.

Didn't David X. Cohen and Ken Keeler talk about turning this into a movie years ago? They should have those two guys write it at least.
@Dr. Robuttnik
Why do you say "her" Oscar? Isn't that a bit presumptuous? And are you really advocating for violence if it goes to Cameron? What does it matter? Does it mean that much to you?
If it's indeed true that they modeled the character on him, borrowed his euphemisms, etc… then he's entitled to some kind of compensation imo.
If they followed him around, based a character on him, and used terms he coined, then yes he's entitled to some kind of compensation.
Does it really matter if Avatar wins? Who cares about the Oscars?
I'm inclined…
…to give the real bomb-squad guy some credit here. Pay the man. Call him a consultant, I don't care.
I'm with Handlen. They're not quite Kate-bad, but I say squander away!
Nixon may or may not be a villain; that's a clouded question filled with mysteries and judgment calls. But what can't be denied is that Richard Nixon is probably the 20th centuries greatest tragedic/dramatic character. His life takes the exact path of a Shakespeare historical tragedy play. It's fascinating. I will…
The Omega Man is awesome. Everything great and tacky about the 70s wrapped up in a cool apocalyptic thriller.
Yeah the DC is just a bit too self-indulgent and overlong I think… That being said, the theatrical cut was one the best movies of the year, and it at least deserves its cult, unlike some of the other films reviewed for the NCC.
It's anti-climactic… and I don't like complaining about it because I *love* Lost. I've been watching from the beginning. But the flash-sideways are just stupid. I'm not involved emotionally in any of them. Either last week or the week before, someone pointed out that by this time in seasons 4 and 5, we were getting…
The writers could completely excise the Jin/Sun storyline and I would be fine with that.
The Dogen/Sayid fight was probably the worst choreographed fight in LOST history.
