It was definitely Lost in Space. I seem to remember some story in EW about it. As an aside, a friend of mine did the sound editing for Lost in Space. He never worked in Hollywood again.

It's seriously time to get past the whole "adjusted for inflation" thing.

"Another reason which probably has been mention is that there is no competition. January has always been a shitty month for movies. Cameron played it safe by having it open in Decemeber if it were to open durning the summer box-office season it would have been luckly to make half of what it has made."

The prestige picture from my area is superior to the prestige picture from your area.

My ears…
…they hurt.

Tobe Hooper
So I know it was "secretly" directed by Steven Spielberg and all, but Tobe Hooper is awesome and needs more work.

I don't quite understand her appeal, but she is far from unattractive.

Caesar was just unnecessary. We already had a tough "alpha" type Ajira character in Ilana. Caesar wasn't needed in any respect. The only thing he served was making me crack up in laughter for 5 minutes when Ben blew him away point blank. When that happened, I thought "Thank you Ben, you just saved us half a season of

"Stranger in a Strange Land" is a strong argument for worst episode of LOST, right along side "Fire+Water" and "Whatever the Case May Be."

And Caesar's death was one of the most hilarious things in S5.

My thoughts on Season 1 always go back to how slowly it moves, but then I remember they discover the hatch is something like episode 11. I guess that just because I've come to know the characters so well, that going back and revisiting them can be a bit boring (unless I really really like the character, like Jack or

Somerhalder was bummed out that his character was written off the show, as he was looking for permanent residence in Hawaii. I wonder what other directions the show would have gone in had he lived.

Goodwin was fucking awesome.

They turned Michael from an interesting character to a shrill stereotype in less than one season.

I think my new favorite episode may be Jughead, but LaFleur is creeping up on it slowly. S5 is damn good.

I like a lot of what you have to say here. Locke has always been the antagonist to Jack's protagonist. Most of the people I know who watch LOST watch it primarily for Jack's story (which is mind-boggling sometimes I know).

Desmond will be back, as he is arguably the lynch-pin of LOST's most well-written relationship and one of its best side-stories/plots since his initial introduction.

I believe Boone's in it too. Of all the characters that get brought back, I'm hoping Boone gets the most screen time.

I am…
…at best, cautiously optimistic about the final season of LOST. What little I've seen so far (promotional stuff, interviews, reading about casting on imdb, etc) I'm really unsure about season six.

Kasmir Pulaski Day
It's definitely my favorite of all the underrated holidays. It was always a nice pre-Spring Break day off from school growing up. Bless that nice Polish fellow.
