I noticed that Red Box has a crap-ton of direct to dvd moves featuring well-known actors as well. I've seen crap with Alec Baldwin, Dennis Quaid, and various others show up at the nearest Red Box. There has to be some sort of market for these films, right?

Please Nabin…
…never talk about Twitter again. Just please don't.

Ok, that was a fucking brilliant reference.

L&O and its derivations are on basic cable at least 6 hours a day where I live.

I hated Smokin' Aces the first time I watched it, but gradually came around to somewhat liking it. It has a lot of actors I like (Chris Pine, Ben Affleck, Ryan Reynolds, Andy Garcia, Nestor Carbonell, Ray Liotta, that black rapper dude who seems pretty slick). Unfortunately it's also a mess of a film which makes very

@Right Wingnut:

It's just hard for me to believe that people actually like Papa John's pizza. The ones in my area must just be terrible or something.

You guys actually like Papa John's? It's pretty terrible here. I haven't ordered it in maybe 3 years. Then again, I live in Chicago so my standards for pizza are sky high.

I don't care for him either. He gets on my nerves after about 10 seconds.

And yes the first film did quite well at the box office. Mark Wahlberg is actually a reliable draw.

I remember seeing Lost World over Memorial Day weekend 1997 with a packed fucking crowd. The only other time I've seen a theater that packed was for Titanic later that year and then Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire in 2005.

The cosplay subculture definitely has celebrities in it in America. If you're into comedy, check out some of the drama that rears its ugly head on cosplay.com forums, the 4chan cosply board, or something like the Anime Central boards.

I just want to comment on how hilarious I think it is that Ellen has supplanted Rosie as our nation's premier lesbian.

I remember in summer 2007 when my best friend's dad was held up by Dark Knight filming. Helicopters flying around his building, explosions, a pre-corpse Heath Ledger… that would have been awesome.

Wolverine was *that* bad. I saw it in theaters twice, once with my brother (we were both indifferent) and then again with my gf (she hated it). It got worse on second viewing for me. I hope I never have to suffer through it again.

My problem with guys like Channing Tatum and Sam Worthington is that they are so infinitely generic. There's nothing charismatic about them at all.

I'm quite tired of women being held to different standards than men when it comes to violence in film. Of course violence is deplorable in real life, and I would never advocate it, but I say more movies need chicks getting hit in the face by dudes. Way of the Gun and Die Hard 4 know the score.

This was a terrible movie
But it was strangely awesomely bad too. I too thought Quaid looked rather silly (and your "stroke" description is amazingly accurate) and that the bad guys were the best part (Gordon-Levitt nails it imo). But damn is Channing Tatum awful.

I…. have no defense for that.

Is Zoller even a monster? He's only doing what his commanding officers asked him to do. You can easily make the claim that Hitler and Goering are monsters (because they are), but Zoller is a young man who was probably drafted into being a soldier. He's one of the more tragic figures in the movie.
