Just reading this was painful.

Sunshine is one of the best films of the decade.

That guys obviously right-wing inspired film reviews were awesome. It was kind of cool and entertaining to read film seen through the eyes of someone so obviously conservative. Most of the people here probably wouldn't be able to stand it (expand your mind, squares!), but I found them to be quite entertaining in most

…Siamese Dream…you're right, my bad.

I bought a bootleg copy of Mononoke in 1999 before the theatrical release because I just couldn't wait. To me it's still the signature later-in-life Miyazaki movie. I just plain love it. Over all, my favorite Miyazaki work is probably Castle in the Sky (followed closely by Castle of Cagliostro), but Mononoke holds a

You're thinking of the Mark Decascas vehicle (because he doesn't make "movies" he makes vehicles, dammit) Only the Strong.

Fuck yeah!
Mark Decascos! One of the best actors to ever grace the direct-to-video market. Seriously, Decascos is great. Check out Drive, Crying Freeman, and Brotherhood of the Wolf (which was actually IN theaters!) for proof. It's too bad this guy never got the big break he deserved.

Yeah Joan's "I'm not a work yet" line totally revealed to me that she was unwilling to partake in and rather annoyed with the conversation.

The Sal/Bell-hop scene was, dare I say it, revolutionary (as well as totally sexy and tastefully done).

Howl's Moving Castle is probably my least favorite of all Miyazaki's movies.

This list seems to be more of "Huge success followed by horrendous failure" and in that respect, Melancholy to Adore seems to fit the bill more than Cherub Rock to Melancholy.

I like Box Office Mojo and the-numbers.com for my box office/sales chart news.

This summer… Will Smith IS… Ponyo.

Every time I see that Hitler scene where he's yelling "NEIN NEIN NEIN!" over and over, I facepalm a little bit. It's so cheesy and over the top. The whole movie looks like another typical Tarantino wankfest.

Yeah Melancholy was a huge departure, but it was also one of the best selling albums of the year and spawned a bunch of hits. Adore has maybe 2 recognizable songs for most people. It's definitely a strange album, though I personally think it's great (and it's much better than Machina).

Tonight's MadMen
Don's line to Sal on the plane was just littered with layers… It was also my favorite part of the episode. I didn't care too much for the opening scenes. How could Don have known what was said? Maybe his step-mom or his dad or uncle or something told him when he was a boy? It seems just too convenient

I'm not afraid to admit that "Load" is one of my favorite Metallica albums. "Hero of the day" is an awesome song, and so are "King Nothing" and "Until it Sleeps." Yeah, Metallica sold out. So what?

Give The Foo Fighters first album the credit it deserves; it's a fucking brilliant piece of work. "Alone + Easy Target" and "I'll Stick Around" are two of the best grunge songs of the 90s.

How about…
Craig Brewer going from his hit film "Hustle and Flow" to the critically derided flop "Black Snake Moan"?

Jackie Brown was just released at the wrong time, I think. I think it's technically the best film Tarantino has directed.
