There's a pretty hilarious MST3K episode that features "Legend of Boggy Creek 2."

Cannibal Holocaust
CH is actually a really great film. If you can get past the gore and the rape and the animal torture (which is by far the most graphic part of the film), it really has something to say about society and is fairly prophetic in its disturbing, voyeuristic way.
Yeah it is really, really long when there's enough material for a strong 100 minute (or so) movie. I saw it opening day, and there were maybe 12 people in the theater. This is a huge 30 screen cineplex, too. The kind with the endless sea of parking lot which is always at capacity. But yeah, pretty much every criticism…
Yeah it was super fun to watch in a crowd. I think the problem with Drag me to Hell was that it was released in the summer, a time when box office is significantly unkind to horror films. In the winter, at least four horror films (F13, Unborn, Haunting in Connecticut, something else I can't remember now) did either…
Oh ok… I get the Dane Cook reference/thing now. I guess that's kinda funny in retrospect. I'm not really into too many comedians, so I didn't get the style behind it. Thanks for the explanation!
Of the four of them, he was the one I could hear the least. Also, just a note: it's best to keep it to a maximum of three people during a podcast. It's a bit easier to follow, especially when the audience is generally unfamiliar with your voices. The Harry Potter and 500 Days of Summer podcasts were excellent because…
Saw it just a few hours ago
I caught a matinee of Funny People. I enjoyed it a lot. The best parts were the ones you guys chose to focus on/talk about on your podcast. Agreed that it was really long, but it didn't really seem to drag for me. Leslie Mann is actually tolerable in this movie. Bana was great as well. But…
I'm not saying…
…it doesn't suck that someone's life was cut down by a random event (it does suck and I wish her family nothing but the best). But I can say that Cohen was everything that pisses me off about our culture today. Make a rant about Simon Cowell, get on Good Morning America! Put a piece of crap on the…
[Adult Swim]
I remember the moment AS stopped producing quality entertainment. It was fall of 2004. I was a plucky college senior prepared for the pilot episode of Squidbillies. Things started going wrong when I was introduced to some piece of shit called "Tom Goes to the Mayor," a show which has divided audiences…
Yeah, Venture Bros. and Home Movies are shining beacons in the lineup of shit that is AS nowadays.
PHF and Super Milk Chan are the stupidest shows AS has ever aired, and that's saying a lot.
This movie…
…is made even more amazing by the fact that Keaton is only on screen for like 17 minutes. Fucking awesome movie all around. I miss this kind of Tim Burton movie.
I too forget he's in it. The cast of this movie is really fucking exceptional.
Adam Sandler
The story of Adam Sandler making prank phone calls alone is kind of sad.
Put me in the Judd Apatow fan club as well. The guy gets a lifetime pass for his television work alone. His films are just icing on the cake. 40 Year Old Virgin was hilarious and felt fresh. Knocked Up expanded on Virgin and brought it into funnier, better territory. Funny People looks to expand on both. Apatow may be…
Outside of a few plot contrivances and ret-cons to the story line, I enjoyed Spiderman 3 as well.
Wake up, Ethan Hawke…
…time to make another awful Richard Linklater movie.
It's an ok movie. It's not great, but it's certainly better than it's detractors will have you think. The expectations for it were massive, and it would have been hard for any film not called "The Dark Knight" to match up. Bana's performance is great, Nolte is great as the villain, Jennifer Connelly is acceptable, and…
God Bloom is terrible. It's kind of a testament to how terrible he is that he hasn't done much since the cash cow PotC ended in '07.
Your wife faked her suicide. She is actually Reiko Aylesworth.
