Yeah, I think Sisko/Kasidy works fine — even the obvious routes for angst (what with her working for the Maquis and stuff) aren't particularly overblown. I think a lot of that is because Avery Brooks plays the domestic/family stuff so well, too, and because it's all played as basically normal people getting together…
On the other hand, Steven Berkoff is awesome. So there's that.
