Shapingba is close to the middle of things.  When I say I'm a little bit away, I mean "45 minute taxi ride away" unfortunately. I hear you on the pollution.  I think I've already developed Seasonal Affective Disorder from never seeing the sun.  I love my seasons, which will make winter very sad for me.  I am used to

Whoa, no kidding.  Small world, my friend.  I work at Chongqing University.  I'm a little bit over from Shapingba.  This is the "new campus" of the university, which means that there is pretty much nothing around here, other than a nice little shopping area called Sunny Block.  Just finished grad school at the

I live in Chongqing, China, currently.  Get working on those visas, New Cult Canon.  It doesn't snow here, my family lives halfway around the world and I'm probably going to have to go into the mountains to find a tree.  Do your part to eliminate homesickness for The_M.  Do it now.

Kent's probably been above-average in challenges to this point, but he still has the balky knee to deal with.  I think the strongest challenge competitors, in a bit of poetic justice, are the two from the tribe that never won a challenge—Malcolm and Denise.

I can see why people hate Jeff, but I love the guy's dickishness.  He doesn't even try to conceal it.  I get at least three good laughs at Jeff's comments each episode.  Survivor is so over the top in so many ways that Jeff is the perfect host.  But again, I can see why people could be tired of him.  I'm just not one

I have the same sort of visceral reaction when I see Ray Liotta's face (though the same reaction does not come when I hear his voice).  But when I see him in a movie?  I just want to hit him in the face with a rake.  I'm fine with John C. Reilly, though, so I cannot help you on that front…

You make interesting points, though I disagree with a few of them.  I think well-written memoirs are worth reading.  The good ones offer insight not only to the person's experience, but also to universal ideas.  It's a fine line that is very hard to walk, though.  I completely understand Memoir Backlash.  There have

Denise is going to kill it in the individual contests.  Haven't even watched the episode yet, but I know this.
