'John Wesley Harding' is a rustic, dark album all shimmering with apocalyptic doom and such.  And outside of "All Along the Watchtower," most of the songs aren't really in the popular consciousness, so you'll (theoretically) be coming to it fresh.  If you like Neil Young's darker songs, then you'd probably dig 'John

OCMS was a band that I loved in the twilight years of my undergrad, back around 2006-2007ish.  Their first two albums are really really good.  I didn't give 'Tennessee Pusher' much of a try, though (not that I disliked it, just didn't get into it).  No matter how many times I hear "Wagon Wheel" on an Iowa jukebox,
