You have to work in the morning
Why is it that late Sunday/early Monday always sees a flurry of drunken AV Club commenting?

Everybody seems to like him except the Academy. One of these days he'll start racking up the People's Choice Awards.

Mark Ruffalo
The trailer for this movie loudly trumpets its acting pedigree:

The Imaginarium Of Doctor Parnassus
Is that the sequel to Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium? If so, I sure hope it doesn't compromise the integrity of the masterful first film.

Christ, you people are horndogs. Do we really need to rate every movie by it's spankability?

After Tyson's legal troubles began to mount Nintendo dropped their licensing deal with him and changed the final Punch-Out opponent to "Mr. Dream". It was basically the same Tyson sprite except he was a blonde white guy with presumably the same moves, other than the one where Tyson rapes your unconscious fighter.

While I can't speak to the actual merits of the film (haven't seen it yet, probably won't) the marketing strategy behind Star Trek has been weirdly effective. They essentially used reverse psychology to convince people that everyone's a Trekkie if it's "done right".

Gould did a pretty good Carolla podcast, but nobody here cares because it wasn't on the boob tube.

Isn't it stretching it a bit to call Eddie Van Halen a "guitar hero"?

Long live Something Weird
My favorite SW release is Night Of The Bloody Apes, a Mexican exploitation classic that incudes H.G. Lewis-style gore, female wrestling, and footage of open-heart surgery. The funniest kill is when the monster "scalps" a man by pulling a bloody toupee off his bald head.

P-Funk owned the 70's
It's really staggering how much innovative, essential music George Clinton & company put out during their sustained peak. We're talking hours and hours of great funk that sounds just as fresh today. Only David Bowie had a comparable hot streak during that time.

Why hasn't The Art Shell Face weighed in on this Simmons debate?

I haven't seen the trailer but I can only hope that Bruno is awesome. My favorite "Ali G Show" character is poised to make us all forget our collective Borat hangover.

House II: The Second Story is even better than the original film.

In The Future was my favorite rock release in 2008. I can't wait to hear this one.

Here in Brew City we've got a bronze statue of the Fonz, inevitably nicknamed "Bronzie". I haven't made a pilgrimage to see it yet, but I bet Buck Stagg has. We're a cool town.

This guy's funny, but.
There's an ad for a radio station in Milwaukee (and presumably other markets) with Eugene that is incredibly annoying wherein he wags his fingers as the music changes. It's meant to demonstrate how the station switches gears so often "you never know what you'll hear next"!

Yikes
The color of the pudding in the photo is nauseating. It looks like Pepto-Bismol.

I actually just read that Eli Roth is trying to make Thanksgiving into a feature as well. Given these recent developments I suppose there's a chance we'll be seeing a full-length version of Don't in the future.

"Break Like The Wind" disappoints overall, but…
…"Rainy Day Sun" is a great song, no doubt.
