Deadly Friend is an overlooked slice of 80's cheese-horror. It's like an episode of "The Hogan Family" crossed with "Bride Of Frankenstein" with a dash of "Short Circuit". In a word: delicious.

Um, no.
Hey!
Where are all the Neko Case pervs? You know, the redhead/pale skin fetishists who pop a bone every time she's mentioned on these pages? I guess they're too busy beating off to Little Orphan Annie comic strips.
"Kaleidescope Eyes" was a pretty good survey of psychedelic genres, even though DeRogatis' opinions about specific artists is debatable. For example, he dismisses De La Soul's masterful second album as "gangsta posturing" (!) and then subsequently devotes several pages in praise of P.M. Dawn.
5 years later…
…and Madvillainy remains far ahead of the curve. Amazing considering hip-hop (as a still-flourishing and vital genre) tends to sound "dated" more quickly than other music.
Say
Does anybody here like Neko Case?
Hopefully it's not another free-form jazz exploration.
Bummer
Does this mean we won't get an eventual Blanka movie?
"Kreuk… boasts… energy and magnetism! Unbeatable… action sequences! …Classic!"
Did you try taking the giant novelty check to a big bank?
The Green Hornet
Something tells me this movie will turn out more like "The Phantom" or "Daredevil". In fact, I think I can hear Rabin sharpening his knives.
Get it?
See, his character's name is George Michael! Like the lame-o singer from Wham! Isn't that hilarious?
Weird
So will Billy Corgan be playing Iha's guitar parts in the studio?
I dunno, while Statham's movies are generally entertaining they're increasingly difficult to tell apart. Ideally he should play a dual role in Crank Vs. Transporter.
"Show World" is one of the lost classics of the 90's, with hooks the size of John Holmes.
In my opinion, Low is not only Bowie's best but probably the greatest art-rock album ever. You might as well grab Lodger and "Heroes" while you're at it, because you will inevitably want to hear both. As well as all of Bowie's 70's output, all four of Eno's rock albums, and if you're still hungry (you will be) Roxy…
Don't forget the underrated slasher "The House On Sorority Row", which has a group of coeds trying to keep their housemother's corpse hidden during a graduation party.
I remember reading an article prior to the release of "One Hot Minute" that claimed the album had been repeatedly delayed because Kiedis was really taking his time with his lyrics. When the record finally surfaced it boasted stirring couplets like "Picaboo street in Timbuktu, do I need to repeat that a boy named Sue?…
Good call! Negativland's subversive media collages would make the ideal soundtrack to what's essentially a pastiche of 8-bit retro classics.
This is almost to good too be true!
I've always wanted to work for the A.V. Club, their some of the funniest people around! It's settled than. I except the job!
