My kids watch the Spy Kids movies over & over. Love them. L-O-V-E them. I am very proud of this.

I've been watching a fair share of Mister Rogers lately and, yeah, he was at least as amazing as his reputation. Watching him now from an adult perspective, he was great in so many very subtle ways. I'll have to look for War and Peace.

Remember the movie Suspect with Cher and Dennis Quaid? My sister worked at a movie theater when it was released and she let it out that the judge did it so I've made it my mission in life to spoil it for everyone else. My work here is done.

It's dubby but it's not dub, I think, in that it's all played as live music.

It's definitely on my shortlist.

Watch This Sound
The Tide is High
[last place left blank because there's so many great tracks I've heard and certainly as many that I haven't yet…]

It's dub, not roots.

I hadn't read these comments before I noted downstream that I've always thought Levine would make a good Bruce Wayne for that Batman.

Also, saw him on stage in Buried Child at Steppenwolf and he was outstanding. He came really really close to stealing more scenes than James Gammon and that is a hell of an accomplishment.

I've always thought Ted Levine would make a great Bruce Wayne if they ever film The Dark Knight Returns.

I look forward to that. Really, I'm looking forward to reading all of the Dickens. I read a crap-ton of Twain over the last year and I figure I'll burn myself out on Dickens this year.

I'm reading Oliver Twist. Dickens was a hell of a writer, as funny and as scathing as Twain. I read Pratchett's Dodger last year (twice actually because I read it once for myself and once again to my son) and that led me back to the source.

I just finished watching this season less than a week ago. I'm ready already to go back and watch these two episodes. There is so much that's good about these two. Also, the title "The Doctor Dances" couldn't be more appropriate. “Everybody lives, Rose! Just this once, everybody lives!”

A Motown Christmas has its charms but I will respectfully submit that it is nowhere near amazing. It has (mostly) tolerable versions of Xmas standards but it doesn't even include the best Motown Xmas song: Purple Snowflakes.

I learned how to cook them from a lady who used smoked turkey instead of pork. (I don't eat the pig anyway.) Healthier and still tasty.

That Twisted Sister Xmas album is horrible. Beyond horrible-in-a-fun-way horrible. Like if there were a law it'd be against it. It fits in really well with a lot of the supremely annoying Xmas music I've added to my collection over the years.

Faces' box set makes a great case for why they were the greatest rock band of their era. Highly recommend checking it out.

You really ought to make a point of seeing Mac play if only so you get the chance to meet him. He's a lovely human being.

This is my favorite dirty Stevie Wonder thing that I've heard:

Sounds like your mom could have had a really good time with him.
