I'll buy that you could argue that Mott was (were?) a one-hit wonder in the US but not Sinead.

Never mind.

SW II had the scene where the Beyonder, having just assumed human form, is visiting Peter Parker and complains of a uncomfortable feeling in his midsection and it takes Peter a couple of minutes to figure out that the Beyonder has to pee. I loved that bit.

Yeah, it's perfect. I love it. I've read it to my kids.

Exactly. I was really excited to be there at the start of something big. I'd already had tastes of disappointment in my life so I won't say a lesson was learned but that may have been about the time my interest in comic books began to wane.

I never bought Goo (when it was released I'd moved on to other heavier or louder or faster or funkier things and I never went back to check it out) and I always thought Sister and Daydream Nation were perfect albums but EVOL was nice and arty but not quite focused enough (in a pop sense) for my tastes.

Renfield is the best part of the movie. I don't find his performance unintentionally hilarious.

My love of ska predated the 90s ska that seems to be universally reviled and I'm not really sure which bands these are that everyone hates. They don't include the Beat, Madness, the Selecter and the Specials do they? Or the original 60s ska? Or even the Toasters - y'all don't hate the Toasters, do you?

"Gentrified Dad-Rock Hybrid of Grand Funk Railroad and Bad Company" is what I call my Stone Temple Pilots tribute band so this is kind of awkward.

"…emotional complexity…"

Low End Theory is better (the best!) but Midnight Marauders is excellent, better than almost every hip hop album ever.

I was a freshman in college when grunge broke big, just leaving the straightedge scene and getting my party on. Nirvana's success kind of bothered me at the time because I thought the burnouts were co-opting punk's energy and taking it back a step or two by mixing in the classic rock influences and making it

Yeah, well, nuts to them.

I don't know you so this can remain true.

Were you dissing the Addams Family movies?

Hey, downvoters! He's the same guy who tried to convince me that Rush was the Greatest Band Ever! Yeah, that's the company you keep.

This reminds me of the time I was forced to watch this terrible terrible movie with a friend who felt compelled to convince me of its genius. I still don't buy it.

Are you a medical doctor?

Lump in throat.

That's not going to help. I missed second semester of sophomore year of college because of that show.

You forgot Valley Girl. What the hell is wrong with people that they always forget Valley Girl?
