The fact his name is Ernest Scribbler has always been my favourite part of that sketch.

There are two perfect jokes:

I agree, Jake Gyllenhaal. I also see you like 30 Rock - I like it too! That's two things I have in common with Jake Gyllenhaal. This calls for beer!

I just hope the victims are alright, and manage to get away from this shitty family.

How? Like, what is there to like about it?

Wait wait, you don't remember it not being extraordinary? This man never drank a Duff in his life!

Man, Megan Gale would have been a great Wonder Woman! Adam Brody as the Flash is pretty good casting too. Ah well, I'd rather have Fury Road than a Justice League movie any day.

And is that Hugh Keans-Byrne, aka Immortan Joe, aka Toecutter in the bottom right? Miller really loves that actor, huh?

To be fair, it just about works in the actual book. And I do think it's a pretty good book; scary, at least. But it could be a really good movie if done right, i.e with less child sex and stuff

Aw man. I feel like he could have done it really well. True Detective had SUCH a good atmosphere, and Fukunaga could bring the same kind of small town with a dark secret vibe to Derry. Really do think this could be a great movie if done right, but will doubtlessly suck in the wrong hands.

It can never be said enough, dude.

Immortan Joe was so fucking cool. Lord Humungus will always be the best, though - everything about him is just so fucking weird. The Humungus rules the wasteland!

It honestly makes me so happy, it's just so unexpected

It's amazing and hilarious that Mike Hanford STILL appears to know almost nothing about the Beatles

I first read it at like 14 and it didn't hold up at 19. It's supremely dumb but really gripping the first time round. I sort of fail to see the point of adapting it when they aren't going to get to include even like a third of the violence, sex, and swearing.

I didn't say that, did I? We all know that the 2000s/10s have, so far, been an era of excellent TV dramas about white male antiheroes who struggle against their personal demons and pride and ego and masculinity and stuff. There have been other great shows, and there are other great shows on now, but the fact is that

Hmm, I don't really know the extent of Feige's creative influence here.

I'm sure they're getting rid of basically everyone responsible for the last Spider-Man movie, seeing as it fucked up their whole plan for the character and forced them to make a deal with Marvel. Orci and Kurtzman were integral to that movie's shittiness and if they aren't kept away from this it will make no sense.

That'd be great!

Yep. This plan is terrible, and will most likely fail before it ever even really gets going, just like Sony's last Spidey plans.
