I liked this show but it made a lot of the same old points about male pride, ego, power and so on that gritty TV dramas have been making since the start of this century. It would be nice if there were more shows as good as this one that took on some new themes.

Marvel has no say in who directs this movie, it's Sony's call.

That would be an awesome Fuck You to DC but it will never happen.

Yeah, it's edited like a random flash of images, if I recall correctly. Weird choice.

Yeah I do love that scene, but again he isn't that noteworthy.

Same. It's really only a matter of time before he shows up in one of these (please be Uatu the Watcher)

He's only really in one of them, and even then he's just kind of doing his usual shtick.

Maybe he got promoted after handling the Stark business so well

It's become weirdly vilified somehow. I really don't see what's so terrible about it.

Oof.

I am now not going to shut up about wanting the opening scene of this movie to be Cap and Iron Man taking out Martin Freeman as MODOK

Holy shit!

I too eagerly await this explanation!

"Whedon WROTE the cave sequence."

That's what I'm saying. It's weird actually because the scene with the Collector in GotG already explained what the infinity stones are.

In the podcast Whedon describes what the scene was like originally. It sounds much better than the heavily edited one in the movie.

Listen to the podcast - the interview with Whedon is only about twenty minutes and he comes across a lot more sympathetic than in the article.

From what I remember, we're shown a weird Asgardian party thing, Idris Elba acts drunk, Thor writhes around a lot, the infinity stones are shown, and we briefly see a shot of the Vision opening his eyes. It certainly could have been clearer.

In his vision he sees all the infinity stones. This is very important to the MCU. It did not need to be in THIS film at all, but it isn't completely pointless as a sequence.

Me neither. I guess he'll have a more regular voice. That's… scary right?
