I agree. I'd rather he keeps doing what he does best really well, than him experimenting for the sake of it and making a bad film. Plus the last film Tarantino made that wasn't an ultra stylised ultra violent epic about revenge was Death Proof, and a lot of people hate that (I myself enjoy it, if only for Kurt

Indeed, Tarantino uses songs and music perfectly. The Kill Bill movies collectively might be my favourite mixture of music and visuals ever, in fact.

Ehh you know what I mean. Sometimes it's nice to watch a movie and not have everybody talking, eating, laughing or otherwise making a load of noise right in your ear.

I think the point of this list is to pick scenes that are brilliant on their own, even if they spoil the rest of the movie or if the rest of the movie is terrible. The Looper scene can be viewed without any knowledge of the film and it's still disturbing for what it is.

Man, ParaNorman's getting all kinds of love around these parts. I really should check it out.

Yeah, I have to second that tracking shot too. Everybody in the theater died laughing at the Puny God scene, sure, but during the tracking shot everybody was basically silent, just staring blissfully at the comic book magic unfolding before them, then finally breaking out into more hysterics at Thor's completely

After basically the entirety of The Avengers, that scene from Cabin in the Woods was the most fun I had in the cinema this year. I normally hate it when everybody in the audience is laughing/shrieking and just loudly having fun, but when that unicorn headbutted someone to death none of us could help ourselves.

I was going to say the sewer fight from The Dark Knight Rises. No music or fancy camerawork, just Bane brutally laying into Batman while everybody watches. The whole theater was silent during that scene, and not just because of the awesome sound work which made Bane's punches as loud as gunshots. It's by far the best

Oh, I'm a fool.
