That line about Flanders being mightier than Jesus was hilarious.

I actually wasn't seriously trying to critique this episode (in fact, I rather like those jokes). Instead I was merely trying to make a point about how easy it is to pick apart the little details like that (and perhaps, how utterly pointless it truly is), and how subjective comedy is when it comes to jokes like these.

Okay, besides the murder (justified though it may be), Roger turned out to be a surprisingly good parent for the most part.

That confused me too. To be fair, I liked this episode, but reading the review, filled with such seething hatred for this episode, then seeing it as a "C-"… Yeah, that threw me off a bit. It seemed like it would've been a "D" at most.

I don't think they can drop the four-act structure. I'm pretty sure it's a mandate by Fox to shoehorn in as many commercials as they can.

One of the biggest problems in the episode was the chalkboard gag, which read, "It’s November 6th — How come we’re not airing a Halloween show?" Really? A gag about the fact that the Halloween shows only air in November? I thought The Simpsons was capable of deeper, more biting satire aimed at the network that they

I would high-five you, but you just touched Michelle Bachmann's breasts, sooo…

Wait, I know, I know!

So first they were on a network that loved them, but had no place for them? But then they moved to a network that had the perfect place for them, but hated them? Then they were gonna move to a crappy network that nobody really watched before that network said "Just jokin'! Yuk, yuk, yuk!"

I have to disagree. I didn't care for this episode at all. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't "bad" but it wasn't interesting.

I suppose it depends on if you really care about the show at all at this point. This season still has a lot of potential, and if you want to find out how everything works out in the end then "yes".

I don't know, @avclub-ac1195357ddafa8192abdf6fb2dde004:disqus , after going back and watching a lot of the older episodes (along with the movie), I can't hear much of a difference between now and then.

Still waiting for it to be revealed that he's the Scranton Strangler, and they executed the wrong guy.

Glad that I'm not the only one who misread that, and thought the dinosaurs finally got him.

So the whole theme of changes, and aging is just a way for them to disguise their poor vocal abilities?

Well, they're pretty nice most of the time. They're aloud to have a real dickish moment every now and then. Especially if it's funny.

Best part of the episode:

Yeah, it was about royalties. I read somewhere that Ray Liotta had some sort of similar fallout with Rockstar after Vice City.

What's that, girl? Little Medli fell down Death Mountain? Lead the way, girl!
