I have a season pass on my DVR for WKRP, and have recorded pretty much all of them over the past couple of years. Antenna TV is a great channel.

Why did Brian persist with the R&H musicals category? He clearly knew very little about them? That Carousel miss was cringe-inducing.

It's childish, but I hate the players who smack their lips every time they speak. I actively root against them. Down with Brian! I was extra sad that such a no-charisma, annoying habit guy beat Julia. The accent is nice, but he's too terse.

Trebek was hilariously supportive of her return to form. There were a couple of "good for you!" comments that seemed to convey his relief that a champion on such a long streak was finally back to earning it instead of lucking into it.

She definitely looked nervous after she won, and it looked like she had to remind herself to smile at the camera.

The Japanese one. Yup, I've got a copy of that, the VHS set, and both DVD box sets.
Guess I'll pony up for this one too. Why stop now?

Agreed - that packaging was genius. She's dead, wrapped in plastic.

Well, they did ensure that these actual females won't make eye contact. God forbid they have agency or identity other than that provided by males.

You are correct. Netflix, Amazon Prime, etc. pay a flat licensing fee for each title, and these have specific license terms. They might re-negotiate or extend the terms on many of these.

I've been getting my fill of snooty absurdity. Most (but, oddly, not all) of Frasier goes away 1/1. Let's all go to a taco show!

That was all such great music. I still have the Julee Cruise album, the FWWM soundtrack, and BOTH TV soundtrack albums. Diminishing returns on the second TV soundtrack, but I still wouldn't kick any of it out of my stereo.

I liked how Levine was game at first, trying to be funny about getting things a little back on track, but then I just felt bad for him. No one paid any attention to him, and they showed they can't be "yes and" guys because they are too in love with the sound of their own shrieking. Kreischer is a different stripe of

"Because he is Batman, you moron."
The disgust at how dumb Shreck is in that moment. She hit every note of that character perfectly.

That's where maybe an editor could've stepped in and restructured or left out some of what came across as negative bias. For an old show, and a strongly cherished episode by fans, there should've been at least one reviewer without a total blind spot for this era of TV. The writing came across as pretty snobby for

They air regularly on Antenna TV. The original music is intact, which is a huge bonus.

I'm delighted that I saw this write up before it aired!  I have a series recording for Masterpiece Mystery, but this wasn't picked up by the DVR.   My local listings totally got checked.

Whiskers Frontier.

There was a local karate school at my local theater, trying to sign up kids who were there for Karate Kid. Too bad Inception didn't think to cross-promote with local schools.

Prince is always right. If I didn't have to use a computer for work, I wouldn't even bother connecting any more.

Check out YouTube for some WKRP closing credits videos, with *ahem* personal interpretations of the lyrics. Bonus - funky videos to go with 'em.
