Meadow is more sophisticated, which just empowers her to be more cruel to her parents. A.J. crassly swears at his mother, and generally slouches around like a glum, rude teenager. Only Meadow goes so far as to mock her mother and humiliate her by showing how she has become more educated and literate (during the time

Nothing to add except I love Reddington's performance in this. Those hand gestures! He was the one I liked seeing interviewed in the dvd extras for this story.

I think it was on Grantland where I read the article that made a convincing case against Whedon. The argument, succinctly, is that Whedon and his stuff is so beloved and clever because it masters the genre and winks to the audience in knowing ways, but that sort of "self-awareness" is not suited to Star Wars.

not just because it is a great story, but so you can have a copy for
N-Space and another for E-Space (or, one for home and one for the

Five Doctors is at least good, if not great, and Two Doctors should provide some interesting grist for the mill (the violence, the vegetarianism); Arc of Infinity has exactly one good moment—when Omega in the form of the fifth Doctor is jostled by a child, there is a moment of menace, then he smiles, apparently full

Not the best episode you have covered, but this is a very strong review full of good ideas (mostly pointing out squandered opportunities—the makings of a great and tragic villain and the fruitful parallels with the Doctor squandered.)

When I opened this story, and that was the one film I expected to find on the list.
