If I were to interject here that I had sex with your mother last night, would that clarify anything?

Yeah, sadly the right wing in this country likes to paint print media as a raging partisan beast. "Of course they would say that, they are the New York Times" has become the standard defense against anything and everything. Members of the public who do not read probably do all believe it at this point.

We occasionally order the bucket of fried chicken from a local place in Brooklyn, via grubhub. As you might expect, it is pretty depressing.

Grubhub in NYC does two things, essentially — it lets you order from restaurants by clicking on shit, and it lets you easily pay by credit card. As far as I know the vast majority of the restaurants involved also take telephone orders and are sending their own delivery guys — grubhub isn't actually doing the delivery

Yeah there is no way that it is not pizza everywhere in the entire U.S. Isn't pizza the only thing (or virtually the only thing) that delivers in most suburbs?

Yeah, it's the same method to make every stupid bloggy map, lately. Not the most popular thing in each area but the thing that is sort of unique to that area.

"Not the boogeyman strawman of conservatives, but the lack of a nuclear family…"

Because she is "all that"?

You say that like it's a bad thing.

My theory is that bisexuality is just inconvenient to the prevailing narrative of the last 15 years or so, which is that gay people are exactly like straight people with only that one binary switch flipped the other way (set at birth and unchangeable.)

It didn't flop! It wasn't that horrible! There is still an inescapable context to anything you say whether I point it out or not which means that we can never really evaluate this movie without getting at least vaguely depressed!

To really be relevant B & N needs some sort of kiosk that makes it quick and easy to buy a virtual edition of the book. Grab the physical book, take it to the kiosk, insert your card, type a pin, scan the book barcode, click "yes", and now it's in your phone.

Oh, yeah, that reminds me, I really expected MK to figure in this season finale. (I thought she was the one hacking Rachel's eye.) She was kind of a cool invention who turned into a throwaway character after all.

Yeah, the show sure is vague about all the genetic goals of neolution as well. So much was made of the bots, for example, yet we heard almost nothing about what they could do (aside from cure Evie's shingles.) They just looked super-creepy and exploded and killed people.

I actually think the idea of Westmoreland figuring out how to prolong his life is the coolest thing the show has thrown at us in a long time. It would explain how he managed to build such a stupidly powerful yet shadowy techno-cult.

All Trumpidity aside, haven't there been studies that claimed that diet coke somehow causes you to overeat? I remain vaguely worried about that, even though part of my brain knows it's probably a pretty dumb finding and that drinking water would definitely be better for me no matter what.

Also, it had been verified that the Black Eyed Peas do NOT wear depends undergarments.

Nah, if it's black people involved, they'll just say something racist and call it a day. Somehow guns illegally held by minorities don't count as "real guns." You just turn it around on "the community." Because, as we all know, guns used by criminals are all homemade, it's not like they are being supplied via

I wish I was a tiger.

Right, by being a baby about the internet you are basically refusing to learn how to get anything done. It's no different from learning how to write a check or use a savings account - you know, basic grown-up stuff.
