I was thinking also of Peppermint Candy, as well as Secret Sunshine. But yeah, I haven't seen Green Fish or Oasis, maybe they are different.

Alexander Rhodes as Suspicious Onlooker - tour de force of acting brilliance. It's a travesty he's been snubbed from mention in this review.

I've always considered Lee Chang-dong to be a bit of a hack, putting his characters through continuous, meaningless suffering as if that were interesting in itself (similar to some of Lars Von Trier's films). But with this film he finally moved past anxiety to melancholy, and it's a big step in the right direction.…

The best part about Rafi explaining Andre as a commodity in the post-apocalyptic world was Andre's ability to delude himself. Despite the fact that he'd be nothing more than an extremely depraved sex slave he's still happy because he thinks he'd still be friends with Rafi and Kevin. Great stuff.

I seem to be the only one who didn't care about Isaak. Apart from giving a cohesive mediocre filler storyline for the season while the far more exciting stuff (Dexter and Deb's relationship evolution) happened he didn't really do much. I felt like he was a villain I've seen dozens of times before which have all better…

You forgot to mention they knew exactly which fingerprint was the arsonist's on the fire-scorched rail of a public bus.
