Nothing better than a Hummer on Christmas morning!

I loved the episode. My friend, also a Sunny fan, was less enthusiastic.
But the one thing that we both agreed on is that this was by no means a
'lazy phoning home' episode like some people are commenting. The
writing was some of the sharpest in the whole series (it had to be to
make the references work).

I'd say Casino is easily better than most movies on this 20 to 11 count-down list.

Since Last Life in the Universe he has continued to explore that same kind of almost-dream tone in his films. I'd particularly recommend Ploy (2007) and Nymph (2009), but as always, your mileage may vary.

A+ hatchet job Nathan Rabin!

Don't believe the hate. This is a richly atmospheric, introspective action film from a director whose every film is better than his last. Negative review is the result of applying outdated hollywood norms with regards to plot and character onto a film for which they have little relevance.
