I hate to be that guy, but Lohan never served time in a prison, unless she was convicted of a felony with a 1 year+ sentence I'm not aware of.  She's only ever served in county jail.

Like they say about North Carolina - "First in flight, last in education."

Oh, I know!  I'm not saying they are clean!  We have a bunch of idiots playing for us and I personally hate the attention football gets at the expense of academics at UofO (and elsewhere).  I'm just saying the NCAA is a joke, incapable of policing anything, and the Cam Newton is guilty as hell.

I'm just gonna keep on covering all my bases by hating all southern teams.

(mild) Oregon fan here - as a fellow Oregon fan remarked, "Think of how much money Cam Newton stands to lose by going pro."

Is she funny or something?

Totally awesome soundtrack and imagery, though.

Here at Neflix we're happy to let you know that Tower Heist is coming to Netflix Watch Instantly in 3rd Q 2012!

MR. Spa-ce-man?  He's no longer a Dr.?

According to sources, Achtung is not "remastered."  They boosted the volume and made some tweaks, but it is NOT remastered.  Just a head's up.  (You'll notice that none of the materials refer to a remastering).

My friend, who is of Chinese-American descent, does a spot on "Pray your card right!  Live to tauk bout it!"  I wonder if that actor knew ANY English when he was chosen for the role.

Drugs are bad, m'kay?

I made a similar comment up above, but wanted to add that the CGI in MOON was great.  First they filmed models of the rover, etc, then added CGI dust and such.  Really good mix of the two.  But, I agree with your overall point that an effect in The Thing is far more impressive because you can't fathom how they did it,

Awesome, CHOMPS.

There's a bit on the commentary (maybe you know this already) where Carpenter praises the dog because when it is walking down the hallway it never looks directly at the camera.  He said he has no idea how that happened.

Whenever I watch The Thing or Blade Runner I think of how CGI has cheapened effects.  When you watch the opening to Blade Runner you think "How did they do that?" (A: 1 million camera passes of different elements).  Same with the creature effects in The Thing.  I love effects more that force you to wonder how they

I just watched that this past weekend.  Not a great movie, but stays surprisingly close to the book.  The book, IIRC, had really nice illustrations prior to each chapter/month.

"lesbian friends ironically placed it in the magazine rack in her bathroom"

"And like I said, A) it was never a war"

"right before she gets invited to a party by another visitor in her tour group,"
